Stevens has a 2-3 fight deal with NBC, and has one HBO fight. It might not make HBO, though Utzcagui vs Korobov did, but it will defo make NBC.:good
NJkam does NOT have a solid beard. He crumbles when he's caught with a wide hook. He might be a bit smarter vs Stevens, and have an easier time finding the range for his jab, but the moment he get's cut off, he's going down. We'll see who the bigger puncher of Stevens and Quillin is the first time Stevens connects. Njkam just might not get up, esp if it's early.:good
So who beat out Main Events.....who promotes NJkam. If it's GBP, I can't understand why they wouldnt allow it to be on NBC. NJkam isnt exactly a household name that Showtime will sign. While the most $$$$ stands to be made with either Stevens 1 fight left on HBO or with his 3 fight deal left with NBC. Don't tell me Oscar would purposefully let this good matchup fall by the wayside.:think

What do you think was the reason Quillin stopped Brinkley in 3 rounds and Stevens lost on points? From the fights I have seen of Stevens he doesn't really cut off the ring in the last fight he had, which was close his problem was being happy to stay on the ropes.
It was on Dan Rafael's Twitter yesterday. Main Events also stated on their Twitter that it's unlikely to be on NBC because they probably won't be involved with the promotion. The purse bid was won by someone named Michael King.
I would have to consider the body abuse Brinkley and the inactivity as a good reason for Brinkley's early demise vs Quillin and his victory over Stevens. Bute would be the X factor there. Brinkley was never the quickest fighter either, and Stevens isnt either. Brinkley though, used the jab and kept Stevens off balance, whereas vs Quillin, he was simply overwhelmed by Quillins movement, both his hand and footspeed looked incredible in that fight, but again, after 16 months out the ring after suffering a devastating KO loss where he was on the canvas like 5 times or some shiit.:think

N'Dam will undoubtedly go down - whereupon the chess game begins. The question is then whether Stevens manages to finish him - and if he fails to solve the puzzle in a timely manner he will find N'Dam in a rhythm boxing his ears off with superior athleticism, speed, and footwork and probably not giving him a second chance if he blows the first.
It depends on your definition of "chin". Do you think JMM has a solid beard? I sure do, and I don't care how many times he goes down. Being dropped frequently - even if they aren't off-balance/flash knockdowns but legit ones - is hardly the only component in determining punch resistance, or even the most important. Recovery. Recovery is paramount, and trumps susceptibility to knockdowns by orders of magnitude as far as I'm concerned in determining the quality of a chin. Like JMM, HNN has excellent powers of recovery. If you graded both on the sheer criteria of "susceptibility to knockdowns (when facing world class opposition)" their chins would rate very low, around C-. In truth I believe they both have at least B+ chins, with their respective powers of recovery doing a lot of heavy lifting in dragging up their base grade as initially weighted by susceptibility.
