neither the charlos or quillin are as good as lara, so if lara couldnt do it dont count on those...
and until he starts fighting at 160 we cant make comparisons there...
kirkland is next and then cotto, by the time he dispatches those 2 his resume will be great for a 24yo...

drainelo landed like 1 punch to the head in the whole 12 rounds, and that one went through the guard.

if that ddidnt open a cut, no one will remember about it.


all those body shots, maybe some one will make a video highlighting how many landed clean.

im betting not many as reflected by the punch stats.


contrast this to the ruslan-algeri fight.

ruslan took down algeri, shut his eye and repeatedly punched the guy in the face.

yet not many argued ruslan landed the cleaner harder punches that hurt algeri.

the consensus was that, he was outboxed, outblanded with pitty pat punches by algeri.


now people argue, drainelo's pseudo body punches have more damaging effects than lara's 1-2's.


it doesnt matter if you completely disengage, or run or move or clinch or stay in the pocket and trade, if you outland your opponent throwing lesser punches and no one gets hurt in the process, that's a win on my book.

it's drainelo job to prevent the other guy from doing what he is doing. if he cant and he didnt, then he is the one ineffective.

he hadnt slowed lara down for a bit, in fact, lara was more mobile as the fight progressed.

meanwhile, drainelo was wildly swinging on air and punched lara on the arms, back, hip, below the belt to make it look liek he was doing something.

 

The guy has a resume before the age of 24 that many top fighters never get.

Yet people here are writing him off....

But I don't disagree at all with you when you say we are being force fed Canelo. I have nothing against the kid. But probably he has not even been a ppv-worthy fight yet, and it looks like the plan is to make him permanent ppv for the rest of his career. Ridiculous.

 

You don't like, you don't buy. That simple.

I don't hate on fighters who are able to fight PPV. Fighters risk their lives to entertain, you, and me. If there is a market for a 49.95 ppv, then by all means FIGHTERS, get paid before or incase anything tragic happens.
