GGG vs Canelo

The better fight would be GGG Vs Lara.

The question is if GGG would have outlanded Canelo in head shots by round 12?

 

GGG is pretty good at cutting off the ring so I would say so, Canelo still landed enough punches in the fight to get the win over Lara (obviously mainly body punches.)

 

So far we have never seen GGG in the ring with a boxer as good as Lara. So, we can't be sure of what he can or cannot do.
Also, GGG is not a GBP fighter, so I doubt he'd get the same decision results by landing just 18 head shots and 80 body punches over 12 rounds.

Canelo has poor defence and medium punching power. Against GGG I'd have to GUESS that GGG would have the edge and defeat Canelo. GGG thrives on flat footed fighters like Canelo.
Against Lara I would give Lara the advantage over GGG by decision.

 

This would be a great action fight. As of now I see GGG taking it.

From a business point it does not make any sense right now though. This has the potential to be a big PPV event with the right seasoning.

If Canelo faces and defeats Kirkland next, the question then becomes;

Is 50 cents a Jinx?

 

You yourself admitted a draw would be fair only to make up a rule not to score body shot to have it wide.

Golden Boy or not it was a close fight that could have went either way, media and boxing forums are split on who won.
