Brits got a bit carried away drooling over his record despite there being nothing on it, then when he and Quigg drew it became "See? He was a diamond in the rough! " rather than a more sensible conclusion like "Oh my that is troubling, Quigg had too hard a time with a poor opponent inexperienced at this level..."

As for raising his stock, damage control is needed ASAP:

Just further made Quigg's team and Eddie look silly, that spastic Gallagher was giving it the big one trashing Cazarez after Quiggs last fight, the best name on Quigg's record just got destroyed by a journeyman, Quigg couldn't even beat the guy. Quigg really has fought nobodies tbh i think their just hanging on praying Frampton will fight them because all this talk of other big fights is nonsense LSC isn't going to fight unknown Scott Quigg when he'd make 3 times as much and get far more credit fighting Frampton, Mares, Donaire, Lomochenko, Rigondeaux hell even Martinez is well ahead of Quigg in terms of getting big fights. Scott Quigg is going nowhere this is another Hatton vs Witter situation, Frampton is Hatton wtf does he need Quigg for if he beats Kiko

I would nt knock Quigg id knock Gallaghers arrogance thinking he knew best about Salinas, he gave him too much respect, as soon as Quigg was allowed of the reigns he started bashing and breaking Salinas up, if he`d been allowedto do the same from the start i think he`d have stopped Salinas, but alas The Joe Gallagher Show must take Centre place In All Things

 

I agree partly but at the same time Quigg is the one in the ring if he feels that he can break Salinas up to the body or wherever he should just get on with it...it's ok to trust in your corner and all but if your a top kid sometimes you got To be just ruthless if that's in your blood

 

Even with a much too conservative gameplan, he should've easily been able to dismiss Salinas, certainly if Quigg would be anyway near the talent he's made out to be. There's no excuse to that fight ending up a draw for Quigg.

Hearn is failing Quigg now, he needed to get him a big fight this year, not wait around for Frampton and watch Quigg sit around inactive. Hearn needs to really invest in him and get him the best opportunities, even if he lost a title fight it wouldnt matter, just needs to keep his competition high and develop.
