Agree with this 100% - Hearn/Quigg bring zero to the table other then eddies access to box office and I maintain I think if would be liable.
That's not a Box Office fight, Frampton may be massive in Belfast and likely Ireland as a whole after September, but in PPV buy terms that means little, Quigg can't sell **** this fight would fail badly on SBO, it's why i also maintain the fight should not 100% have to be on Sky, Regular Sky wouldn't bring that much more then having it on BN.
I know what your saying guv but I just cant see any other way it can be made unless sky cough up some serious cash to make it viable for normal sky sports. No way eddie will allow it to happen on BN - even though Quigg isnt contracted to sky only matchroom he would be made to look a fool to sky and also the gwneral public who he is Constantly telling that matchroom is no1.
tbh framptons team could force eddie two make the fight on boxnation they hold all the cards and this is the fight they have been looking for quigg needs frampton, frampton doesnt need quigg, quigg hasnt got many other options
Yeah true guv but matchroom are ruthless...I think Barry would rather see Quigg stuck fighting the fair trade guys then for his son to seen being humiliated by haviñg to allow Quigg to go on little BN - they would never live it down..nah Quigg will be sacrificed.
good point but then quigg will never make any real money and will eventually be forced to face rigo by the public and get smashed to kingdom come then he will thank eddie for the great opportunity before being carted off to the hospital
Yep either Rigo or LSC and Eddie will tell us through Kuggan ''Scott Quigg made life changing money (£60) to go to the states to fight Rigo..the kid had a dream to fight on the worlds biggest boxing playform (some small venue In backwater US in front of 200 people) and who Am I to stop his dream'
then cuts to quigg 'id like to thank eddie for this life changing opportunity ,never in my wildest dreams did i think id lose all my teeth by 27'
Even if Hearn could have outbid Barry, he wouldnt. He wants the Frampton fight and doesnt want to upset the applecart as thats the money fight. Even though if Quigg beat Kiko he would have the upside in negotiations in terms of belt so it would make more sense to do so. Eddies not investing enough if Quigg and its showing now. As for Frampton are you talking in general on PPV? what channel, Sky? Primetime is a no go, Boxnation doesnt have the exposure..can Frampton really headline a Sky card? If it was in Belfast you would imagine Barry would want a few other Irish fighters on the bill, have they got enough to stack a card and make it worthy? He could go to America to fight LSC as that would sell big time, he would defo need an American channel to pick up the fight anyway, een if it was in Belfast. If you mean the Quigg/Frampton fight, yes it probably does need to be Box Office but i cant see that being the headline fight, maybe on a Froch card? I agree Frampton is Box Office, but does he have the following to sell one in the millions?
What is your issue with Hearn sending fighters abroad for title fights they wouldnt have otherwise gotten? You have previously named one (andrade) who Hearn could have brought here realistically but who else? I get you dont like it, but why?
I didn't realise beating a man beaten twice by a dust bin man made you the best fighter to have ever lived. Logic of the Irish.
Mate, personally I would rather hear your constructive opinion on the situation rather then nonsense about bin men and Irishmen..
I think the reality is that Hearn has ****ed up big time. He's stuck with no obvious fight an a fighter chomping at the bit to face the big names in the division. I think he was possibly looking to make the Frampton fight now, rather than in two fights time but it's clear Barry will only do business on his terms. Personally with Sky behind me I'd tell Barry to **** off. Unless utterly insane money is offered, why would you let one of your world champions fight on BoxNation in a fight he will be an underdog in and quite possibly lose? All become a bit of a mess for Hearn.
