In my opinion a lot of its more like fencing so it completely different kind of defense in my view.People are nor necessarily throwing with hurtful intentions so someone who looks adequate defensively at this level could be found lacking at the next level and not be as good as might think defensively.
Well to be fair going undefeated for 6 years and winning world titles in that period, your defense can't be to shabby!
As much as it pains me to say this, Darren Hamiltons ear muff defense has been pretty effective on the Domestic Level. He Gets spanked at world level though

in 6 years Ricky's defence was watertight tell me a fight were he was hurt all be it he was off balance when Martinez dropped him,he never even got marked in 20 fights so do your homework ballbag
