I could say the same about GGG moving up to 168. I think you guys are scared for him. Skills pay the bills. Size doesn't matter that much. One division up from his natural division isn't going to kill him.

GGG was moving up to fight Chavez on PPV until the whole thing was ruined. Do people not know this?

Ward should go to 175 too. But the difference is that Ward has a proven resume. GGG has a **** resume. That's the difference. You earn the right to make certain decisions. Ward has been in with elite fighters. GGG has been in with who?

Even more reason that size shouldn't matter to him. Chavez Jr is bigger than most of the SMW. If you can fight him, you should be able to fight anyone at 168

Um, no... theres nothing there at 168 other than the fights they are trying to make anyhow + Ward. Thats the point. What would be the purpose of going to 168 and fighting a bunch of no-names? Zero. If they can get the names in big fights they are already willing to do it.

All moving "officially" would do is drop the WBA belt and give Cotto/Canelo a free ride.

You're a horribly biased poster when it comes to GGG. You're so subjective. Only when it's GGG though, so you got hat going for you. I get it, you want him to have a cakewalk career, fine. You win. Hail GGG. King Of Hypejobs.

Ggg beats fighters in a more impressive manor and none of the other titlists want to face him

Ward won't fight, won't move, won't fight away from home and it's a draw,

Ward still hasn't earned the right to dictate decisions,if him and froch were to fight again froch would have all the bargaining power ,same would be said for groves if he had beaten froch

The fact that Ward has beat most of the top guys at 168 lbs is reason enough to move up.

Chavez is a big money fight I guess. That is all that is really left at 168 lbs.

Ward is probably leaving the lane open for BHOP.
After BHOP retires I'll bet Ward moves up.

    That makes zero sense.

Please point out where I have one thing that is inaccurate.

I have also said before my most wanted fight is GGG-Ward. I think it will happen. My only problem is with people who let hate blind their common sense, and make crazy suggestions like dropping 160lb titles when he is finally on the cusp of getting unification bouts just to move "officially" to 168.

The bigger GGG becomes at 160, the more lucrative his fights become and the easier it is to get the big names at 168 in the ring. Even without legal issues Ward is not a draw yet demands a lot of money to fight. That means in order for Ward-GGG to actually happen in reality, Golovkin has to become marketable enough to carry the entire show and pay Ward.

Thus, dropping 160 belts and moving to 168 to fight anyone but the "names" he is trying and willing to fight anyway (K2 was in negotiations with Hearn before IBF mandated Froch-Groves II and is talking with Sauerland about Kessler return) is a STEP BACKWARD towards actually making the GGG-Ward fight happen.

However, unifying 160 belts, and beating Cotto or Canelo raises Golovkin's marketability and therefore brings us closer to a GGG-Ward showdown, because the money will be there to get Ward in the ring. Remember, Ward is not a PPV fighter either yet wont fight for less than 2million even versus the E-Rods of the world. If you understand anything about how the business end works its not hard to understand.

If Opie wants to be great he needs to move up also and stop weight draining the hell out of his body to avoid it!!!

You don't see GGG weight draining himself....so to make a stoopid demand as such just shows your ignorance and bias!!!
