GGG admits to Ducking Andre Ward (video)

Ward already commented a few times how he contacted GGG's people to setup a bout buy they ignored him. I guess they said, we don't speaka de english and hung up the phone.
Anyway, between Ward and GGG, I'll believe Ward's version 1st.

Naw, Ward said in his interview that there has been some sneaky behind the scenes **** going down between promoter/promoter that has left him without a fight.
It's not that Ward can't get in the ring but that the sneaky *******s stick together and GGG is too fresh (or afraid) to speak mano y mano with Ward.
Froch did but had other fights.
Kessler did but wanted Ward to go to Denmark for inadequate money.
GGG's management said, I'll get back to you, but never did.

 

When is Ward's next fight?
Nobody ever has an answer for that.

When is Ward's next fight? Why is he still on the shelf, if there is nothing stopping him from fighting?
Is he inactive by choice?

I'm surprised you haven't read his interviews like every other boxing fan, but since you are pretending Ward has always maintained that although he has a lawsuit pending against his promoters, he is always prepared to fight and has reached out to show interest to many potential opponents.
Now, if you are asking me to pull out by Godly Crystal Ball and predict exactly when one of these fight offers will jell and materialize, then I can do that, for a small fee.

Ward says so many different things.
Remember when Chavez Jr was a "young, hungry lion", when Ward thought he was getting that fight?
JCCjr became a "weak link @168" pretty quickly when it looked like Froch was getting that fight.
Long story short: Ward is like 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag.
I wouldn't think that any fighter who is able to fight would willingly sit out for 7 months and counting, but Ward isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
He passes on a career high payday and a chance to unify and completely clean out his division when he balked at fighting Bute.
Remember when Ward and Froch both said that the winner of the Super 6 should fight Bute? Ward started talking like a promoter/manager when he was asked about it in the post fight interview.
Golovkin said he would fight Ward all the way back in 2012 when Max Kellerman asked him about it after the Proksa fight. Ward and GGG both fought in Nov. 2013.
Where was Ward when GGG was looking for an opponent? The rumored opponents for Ward were Caleb Truax and Stanyslav Kashtanov before they had to settle on Edwin Rodriguez. What did that fight do for Ward's legacy?

You must have forgotten that Bernard Hopkins went through pretty much the same thing with his promoters Duva and King.
What happened with Bernard?
It took some time for him to sort it out and finally get free from those leeches attached to his jugular, but once he did he began managing and promoting himself right up to the Trinidad fight and into the DeLa Hoya bout.
Sometimes you have to give to get and this is what WARD said when he explained how Hopkins was helping him get through this ordeal.

Don't worry about Ward. This too shall pass and he'll be back stronger than before.
In the meantime, if GGG, Stevenson and Kovalev aren't taking advantage of the time and preparing themselves, they are going to be in a whole heap of trouble once Ward in back on the scene.

Ward better get these guys before they are PPV attractions or he won't be able to get his 70-30 split and have to fight outside of California.

 

Ward might say he is prepared to fight... but Goossen has to sign off on it, no network will give a date to a promoter/fighter in a lawsuit, and other promoters dont want to get tangled up in it.

Whatever Ward says about anything regarding making fights is either BS, or its for the courts/cameras. Thats it.

I'm sure Ward personally would love to fight GGG, or anyone 160-168 for that matter as long has he gets his 2-3mil payday. That does not mean it is a realistic proposition.

If he gets free of Goossen and signs with TR or Matchroom then a fight with GGG becomes realistic, but only if/when that happens.

He's asked again about Ward and Chavez later in the interview, around 11:05, and he clarifies that he's focused on Geale now and that he hopes to fight Chavez and Ward in the future after Geale. So obviously the "too much" comment was a language issue, and he meant Ward was too much to think about right now, and that his focus was Geale. Nice try with the out of context video, though.
