It was the Cotto fight. Pac stopped Cotto, made him a bloody mess, after that Void, Sr. said that Void, Jr., would never fight Pac. Void said he might get hurt. After that fight is when the lies about Pac being a drug addict started, Pad filed a lawsuite, Void then settled out of court saying that Pac was not a drug addict..........................Void's ignorant fans still call Pac a drug addict, or roid/PED addict, whatever...............

that was at 140 when cotto was green. At WW, mayweather and his camp just brushed aside cotto when everyone wants the biggest fight not only at WW but boxing that time circa 2007 or 2008 if I'm not mistaken with the year. when cotto was asked about the mayweather fight, he said that he is for it but he already heard floyd's camp's excuse that cotto is not deserving but cotto just beat shane mosley back then.

I think the fight that caused trepidation was Mayweather-Marquez seeing your next opponent easily dispatch your biggest foe would make anyone hesitant. A little known fact Mayweather picked Pacquiao to stop Cotto in 09, Pacquiao picked Mayweather to struggle with Marquez and lose to Mosley in 09/10.

Pacquiao even rematched Marquez thinking he could take em after May-JMM and after the robbbery in fight III Pac's camp immediately said they have no interest in pursuing a fight with Mayweather.

Suuuuuuuuuure he's on board with testing. He still hasn't tested. That whole VADA against Rios was very suspicious. No video footage anywhere. 24/7 has videos of everyone but not any of Pacquiao, whom this controversy surrounds? FACT!

I think it was the Cotto fight. After that fight, I think it was, Floyd began to be interested in PED testing. So I think the Cotto fight really shook him up.

Based upon how both men did against Cotto, I don't blame Floyd for getting shook up.

Everyone is forgetting the obvious. Pac v Cotto was yet another CATCHWEIGHT fight for the CATCHWEIGHT KING. Pacroid even admitted that it was key to beating Cotto. Tards bring up Cotto, Margarito, DLH who were all SEVERELY weight drained. It's the same as me bringing up Torrecampo. Torrecampo beat Pac's ass down.

Pacquiao obliterated Cotto. Just wrecked him. He was too fast and too precise. The weight would not have made any difference. Pacquiao chopped down Margarito, who was much larger than Cotto.

If I were Mayweather, I would not want to fight that version of Pacquiao, either.

That was the only fight in which I have ever seen Cotto just completely out-speeded and out-boxed. Probably Pacquiao's greatest fight ever, given how good Cotto is.

The Dlh fight made Floyd take notice. The Hatton fight made Floyd say, "oh sh$ t". The Cotto fight made Floyd pee his pants. It was the Cotto fight that did it no doubt. Even in his "health" video, he specifically talks about how Pac just walked through Cotto and how unbelievable that was.

800,000 is fine for Mayweather to face a nobody like Mediocre Maidana. I mean lets be real here.
How many casual fans even know who the fuk Maidana is?
Everyone knows Mayweather but Maidana is as popular or maybe even less than Edison Maranda.
His popularity is definitely not that of Canelo and light years away from that of oscar Dela Hoya.

Of course Mayweather's people understood this even before fight 1 and worked out the strtegy to make Midana more popular and to prop up his skill level so the casuals would know who he was as well as get tricked into believing he actually has a chance to win against Mayweather. That way even though the first fight would do only moderate numbers the second fight would do better.
    Genius and superior casual manipulation.
As a direct result of this vgreat business strategy, I expect the second fight will top 1M buys.

when a fighter like duck boast about his numbers then he has to face it like a man............

if you take away all the glitter and bull**** duckweather is not really a big draw..................

he has never lost and is rated p4p and with a stacked undercard makes 800 buys.................

but pac on the other hand has loses was knocked out fought bradley who has a lesser fan base then maidana with a weak undercard and he still makes 800 000 buys

neither Floyd or Maidana are Mexican. Bob said undercards don't mean sh*t. FACT!

Floyd still made more PPVs, 4th largest Gate, made 1.5x more than Pac ... what's the problem? The casuals have learned that's why Pac is going back to Macau with his tail between his legs.

There was a reason why Floyd fought Ortiz and Pac fought JMM in 2011. They were tune ups for each other. Sadly, Pac struggled with JMM in 2011 and he and his team backed off from a fight with Mayweather.
