The only thing I worry about is that they end up getting banned from conferences etc because people can't handle the questions, they're too used to everyone licking their backsides.

Floyd is getting very annoying again, boxingvoice is right about his opinion but they don't have to give out the information either. I suggest those annoyed by team Mayweather's stance take it out on Floyd by refusing to call Floyd by anything other than Mayweather or Floyd, no more Money May etc. This sucks, we can't even gauge the health of our sport because the best seller won't give out ppv numbers.

I wouldn't be surprised within the boxing industry, the boxers and promoters are too used to being asked soft questions.

 

I like Floyd but this is a bit hard to defend just a fight ago they realeased the 2 mill buy rate for Alvarez now all of a sudden it cannot be revealed almost like Tommy not having a job from Martin I feel it bombed but hey Floyd still got paid

 

Gotta love that. If you're gonna let PPV #'s be your Persona, you have to follow through with it whether or not its ideal. The fight maxed out at about 900k.

 

No wonder it only did 900K PPV. Everyone went to see it live! 4th highest gate. Who would have thunk? Why watch it on PPV when you can fly in, enjoy Vegas and experience a live Floyd fight. Thanks for the post OP.

 

I was really surprised at the gate. That's a big deal. 4th highest all time? Think of all the great fights that the MGM grand put together, and that was the 4th highest gate. That's drawing power.
