Hopkins facing anybody and everybody at age 50. Isn't it ironic though that Hopkins also avoided the best in his prime just like Floyd...

For me, it is Bernard Hopkins still fighting. It has been 17 years since he had his best performance, against Glen Johnson.

Who the hell did he avoid?

Roy Jones Jr who he fought twice.

    Calzaghe who he fought

Toney who always fought 2 or 3 divisions above him when he was champion and who he did sign to fight in 2003 only for King to cut his contractually agreed guaranteed purse by about 30% so withdrew from the fight where he would have jumped from middle to cruiser.

It's crazy that Hopkins gets accused for ducking when he has one of the best resumes in boxing right now. Fought Jones Jr in his first title fight instead of looking for an easy title shot against a weak opponent, fought Tito when he was seen as P4P top 3, Taylor when he was 40 and seen as his greatest threat at middleweight, Tarver when he was the light heavyweight king and jumped two weights to do it, Wright after he controversially lost to Taylor and was seen as dangerous, Pavlik when he was seen as a new star and the next dominant middleweight king, Dawson twice when everyone said he was ducking him and he should not fight him and now calling out Kovalev for the 2nd time.

This is a very intriguing questions don't think you could go wrong either way. What Hopkins is doing at his age is amazing and if he manages to become Undisputed LHW Champ at 50 his All Time standing would soar. Mayweather being unbeaten alone doesn't mean much the division Title's and Lineal Championships he's won make it notable I'd have to slightly lean towards Mayweather.

Depending on his last three fights Mayweather could rise the highest out of fighters in this era, going unbeaten through 5/6* division's holding 2 maybe 3 Lineal Title's at one time not to mention a bigger pool of comp to choose from. Imo it seems like more scenarios for Mayweather's 50-0 to be more impressive.

Especially when you consider all the punchers he has faced, Jones Jr, Tarver, Tito, Pavlik, Pascal etc. But his defence is that good, try and think when have you seen him take 2 clean hard shots consecutively? Hitting him with one hard shot is hard, 2 near impossible. And even when you do connect his chin seems very good and when he has been dropped he's always recovered well.

hopkins fighting at 50 and winning championships is way more impressive .gayweather jr hasn't even gotten to 50 wins yet meanwhile hopkins is already 50 years old besides gayweather jr 's undefeated record is bogus we all know gayweather jr lost to Castillo old shot de la hoya and maidana. If hopkins beats both kovalev and stevenson becoming the undisputed and lineal light heavyweight champion at 50 it would be one of the all time great achievements in any sport let alone boxing.
