The cheaper shot to the fans was Top Rank making such a **** mismatch fight in the first place since they couldn't be arsed to do anything with Rigondeaux. Anyone wanting or expecting to see a good fight in this instance was already a sucker anyway.
It's almost as though Rigondeaux had a bet with himself "how can I maintain my unpopularity whilst giving the masses / my management the KO they crave?". Well, you've got to admit he solved the riddle in fine style, pretty good achievement to come out of a 1st round KO win with less kudos!
