People hate them for legit reasons. People don't like arrogant assholes, same reason people hated the situation on the jersey shore, nothing cool about it. The really popular athletes are the arrogant, brash, c o ck y ones. They are polarizing. Ali, Tyson, Mayweather, Jordan, Lebron, Bo Jackson, Iverson, Terrell Owens, Broner, Lawrence Taylor, etc, are all black and arrogant. They were loved/worshiped more than they were hated, however, their detractors are much more verbal (and larger in number) than the "haters" of their more reserved counterparts.

There will always be racist. So what. At this juncture, I don't think that the hate is as race based as it was in yesteryear. In fact, there are lots of black people that don't care for the the brash and arrogant persona. These guys are in most cases the highest paid in their sport. Boo hoo. In short, it comes with the territory.

 

You are full of it. Maybe Cooper fit their playing styles more, or Djax was asking for too much money? It could have been anything. The majority of professional sports are dominated by black players and you are nick picking everything to suit your agenda. Is it racist against whites for teams to Draft 80% black players over whites? Is it racist that there are more black players in the NFL and NBA than any other races combined?

Black athletes are just fine..... it's only the select few that happens to make asses out of them self that are hated on.... and that goes for any race. Please stfu and stop crying or pulling the race card at any opportunity given.

I always laugh when I see some European country bar some black athlete from entry like England just did to Mayweather and earlier they did to Tyson.
They said they didn't want their kind in their country due to their past domestic violence incidence.

Then you turn around and see London welcome Russian Billionaire thief Boris Berezovsky into the country with a red carpet. Boris, a former business partner of Neal Bush, stole about $4B from the Russian governement. Poor Boris was just found hung in a London hotel.

Right behind Boris once again welcomes yet another Russian thief, Mikhail Gutseriyev, who stole and fled with $3B from Russia.

I mean, it's no secret that both of these Bolsheviks outright stole money out of the Russian people's pockets, but I guess a domestic violence charge trumps felony stealing from governments and causing national economic collapses.
I guess Mayweather should be more like Ali and take his fight to Africa or Asia.

Hopefully you recognize the contradiction. Neither Mayweather or Tyson were "poor" blacks when they were turned away and denied entry to England.

 

People love to have someone to hate and these guys do a great job of actually forcing people to hate them to the point where they will pay to watch them fight and root against them. It takes a lot of social skills to be able to pull that off.

A horrific example of someone pretending to be a bad guy is Tyson Fury. That guy is as corny as can be and is beyond pathetic. I've honestly never ever witnessed someone that pathetic in the sport ever. This guy makes Amir Khan's nonsensical call-outs seem legitimate.
