When he see's the punches coming he does, Chino was so wild and unortodox that you had to cover up more, Manny just does his one two and steps out, circles, pivots, he doesn't throw punches in bunches at all.

Marquez throws more punches, more combinations counters and just in general soaks up pressure better than Mayweather, that's why he has success against Pac.

Floyd is more of a potshotter. He likes to fight with distance. If you can close down that barrier of space that his long arms afford him you get rough him up and outwork him. See Castillo and Maidana.

Had Marquez fought the Maidana Floyd fought I think he would have won MUCH more decisively. Marquez can deal with that pressing and activity in ways Mayweather can't.

Which always leads me to ask why didn't he sign the contract then? All it was, was a blood test, he signed for Clottey instead at a time when all you guys say he could beat Floyd. When Manny was at his percieved best, Floyd offered him 50/50 to fight him!! Manny and Bob Arum declined!! You can't possibly blame Floyd for this fight not happening in 2009/2010.

With Floyd's jab and reach advantage he will keep Manny at a distance quite easily, and when Manny does jump in he might get countered with a check hook or at worse that same right hand that Marquez hit him with...sheesh, that is one of Floyd's best punches. To me it is such a one sided fight that Manny is putting his career and legacy in jeopardy if he accepts it.

I just don't think that Pac has ever had anything for Floyd. Be it 09, or 14. FMJ is all wrong for him.

That's part of what makes the match up so intriguing. Some are ABSOLUTELY SURE Floyd would win. Some are ABSOLUTELY SURE manny.

Floyd doesnt have to be in Pac's range to land.....Pac will always have to be in Floyds range for him to land.

Pac does not know how to clinch

Pac closes distance HORRIBLY....there is no greater evidence than JMM timming and countering his LUNGE!

Pac can only fight at one-range

He does not apply pressure he's more of a rhthymic fighter which can be a downfall with a fighter like Floyd who excels when he figures your timming and rhthym out.

No doubt in my mind this fight only has two outcomes.....either a kO by either fighter or Floyd thouroughly outboxes Pac to a WIDE UD

Do you not like the fact that we are actually discussing why we would think either or will win or loose? Is logic behind opinion to much for you to handle? Go to one of boxing_masters thread. You would fit right in.

I think even now its still a very intriguing fight. In 09 I gave it a 50/50. Pac was very fast ( I think faster then Floyd at the time) and gave difficult angles to handle.

Now I give pac about a 35% chance to win. Floyd and pac have both slowed down, but I noticed most of Floyd's opponents become very predictable because they can't handle the shell. Pac unlike his other opponents lunges in, sure it would allow floyd to counter but I think Manny would catch him a few times as Manny's lunges would give him less time to prepare his defense. Pac faints out and back in after he lunges while throwing punches at different angles. Still think floyd wins convincingly but pac has a greater chance then any other fighter. Like some one said earlier, jmm can deal with pac in a way floyd can't, its just about styles.

What does/can Marquez do that Floyd can't, Manny often had great success with Marquez I doubt Floyd would have half the problems with Pac that Marquez did
