    You're referring to the calibre of Beterbiev's opposition so far? If so, it's not been great but Rayco Saunders was an excellent test for a one fight pro novice. His previous two opponents were fairly durable types so maybe his handlers were hoping they might extend him a few rounds.

    I think there's crossed wires here - I don't think Lacy's accusations are true either, but the above poster isn't asking you to explain, he's saying he's trying to explain the way it'd work.

    What Lacy is trying to accuse, rather bizarrely, is that the double was the guy at the weigh-in and Savigne was the guy in the ring (presumably implying that Savigne wasn't able to make weight).

    To have Savigne (who is a big guy) drain himself for the weigh-in and then have some unknown but similar looking Cruiserweight actually fight instead would just be incomprehesibly stupid.

    Either way, Lacy's just making himself look silly.

    I see that in Savigne's last fight (half year ago) he weight 12 pounds more and was fighting at CW.

    In 2011 he had a difference of 15 pounds in one month (165 over 180) to drop down to 169 the next month.

    Nice bulking/draining.

    Thinking that current Lacy wouldnt be a worse opponent than them.

    And that both him and Saunders could have done more against Savigne and Saunders respectively more than they did.
