Exactly. Not to mention, the majority of the boxing media scored it for Canelo as well.

He was popping Canelos head back , look carefully at the replays when Lara connects .

I don't agree Canelo landed excellent bodyshots , most of them were not even landing properly .

You can see He was swinging at the body out of frustration because he could not find the headshots and whenever he tried to go for the head , Lara made him miss wildly .

    34 for Canelo .

    30 for Lara .

Only 4 more people in the media had it for Canelo .

Not that big of a difference .

Lara won and made cannoli look really bad in the process.

boxing is a business and money talks. So the cash cow won on paper.

thats boxing it will never change. marquez had to knock pac man out to get a win although he had already beaten him twice.

Angulo had more success and was way more effective than Canelo .

I guess that's the thing about boxing being subjective how you view things can vastly shape how you perceive fighters. I get on guys like Lara because of style but I won't skew my score out of bias, everytime I've scored this fight I've had it 7-5 exactly.

Lara did well early on but he allowed Alvarez to take off in the mids rds by being inactive or Alvarez took the mid rds and his body work made Lara inactive. It was a close fight Lara landed some good shots but he came up short. Its his fault really a few more punches thrown and landed in rds 6-9 he could have legitimately won.

The fight went the way I expected...Lara hard to hit...landing flashy single shots and moving around the ring.... Canelo pressuring working the body and manhandling Lara.... As good as Lara is its like he thinks that just making a guy miss and getting a guy out of position is enough and its not...not when your not throwing alot and the few shots you throw don't stop or back up your opponent.

Not saying he wasn't effective..he just wasn't active enough; he did the first part, making the opponent miss..he didn't do the second part nearly enough. The first three rounds and like the last two rounds..but middle rounds he got outfought..beat up and worn down...

I think it was close..but Lara best case was a draw...I didn't think he won under any circumstances...

I agree, but he had to open himself up more and Canelo fought smart when he was out of range......Angulo did not and it cost him.:think

Okay you said he wasn't active enough , yet he landed MORE punches and the harder punches .

I don't remember seeing not 1 moment through out the whole fight where Canelo was "Manhandling" Lara .

Angulo had his moments of manhandling Lara , Canelo did not .

Im afraid Canelo best case is not even a Draw .

5 rnds is the most you possibly give him .

Canelo did not do enough .
