    I cant say that I am a floyd fan or any other boxers fan. I can say I am a boxing fan and more often than not root for the underdog just because they are the underdog. Hard to appreciate the other guys skill and courage when you are hugging one guys nuts.

    The bottom line is Rigo is now a free agent and while he is building a new castle he will be collecting a big pile of contender bones to build the foundation.
    By this time next year those fools who called him boring will be exposed as UFC fanatics who resisted the undisputed talents of the sport's # 2 p4p boxer. :yep

    rigondeaux stops both of those face forward fighters...which is why i think they won't fight him. all roads go through rigondeaux at 122.

    some ppl prefer chess over checkers. if checkers is your game...have at it. don't let me stop u from living your predictable/boring life.

    Most UFC fights aren't what most people would call action packed they are hugfests, very few guys go in there and throw down and beat the **** out of each other.

    I didn't say I don't respect technique I like alot of skilled fighters, but boxing is a form of entertainment and Rigodeaux does not attempt to provide even a modicum of that in most of his fights.
    I find golf very dull and impossible to watch, same for baseball that causes me to not watch it there isn't much variation from game to game.
    But in boxing there is a multiplicity of styles to choose from, but having the main guy in the division be almost impossible to watch when it is filled with exciting guys that people love to watch, that's not great for the division or for the sport which needs ratings to continue thriving.

    You are entitled to your opinion on what you consider to be entertaining and what you consider is boxing. If two toe to toe punching bags do it for you go for it.

    However I did not consider the destruction of donair boring. It was masterful what he did to the boxer of the year award winner. And obviously a feat nobody else in that weight class was able to do. I can turn to any boxing channel and see two punching bags. But this kind of talent is rare and refreshing. I am tuning in.

    Were you surprised by it, because I wasn't I predicted it would happen. If you know anything about boxing it was very predictable Mathebula, Vazquez and Narvaez all gave him problems, and Rigo's skillset is far more advanced than theirs.

    And I think that's what got eveybody so crazy about him, he upset the apple cart when no one was expecting it. So now everyone is on the bandwagon, until he has one lackluster performance.

    I hope that people dont like him because of his cuban heritage . mexican boxing fans have hated cuban boxers going all the way back to estiban de jesus. Stop the hate and appreciate the skill and talent. styles make fights this guy is different.

    Fu ck off with that nationalistic bullsh it. Most of the boxing world seems to find Rigo(and for the most part Cuban boxers) boring. He's a niche fighter, just accept that and move on.
