No doubt, Should Be Canelo-Lara Rematch To Finalize who's the best

This is definitely not a perfect world.
Instead, we live in a world where politics and money dominate fairness and plain logic.
This bizarro world of greed & politics is the reason why a highly debatable outcome of the Canelo-Lara fights has not resulted in an immediate rematch to determine which of these two top fighters is really the best.

    In their initial bout, Canelo received the nod from judges who clearly either;

    1. Don't understand boxing
    2. Are prime candidates for laser corrective eye surgery
    3. Accept GBP payola

Many Canelo fans who wrongly believe that this fight was all about them are delusional and seem to forget that the fight was for each of the fighters and their future standing and earning potentials in the sport they endeavour.
Fans are simply spectators who are fortunate enough to observe the fighters as they hone and practice their craft.
That begs the question of comparing the sport of boxing to other arts and the compromise between artistic and commercial acceptance.
In today's promoter/Lawyer dominated environment, commercial appeal far out-shadows boxing's artistic expression.

In a fair world, the outcome of Canelo-Lara would have been ruled a draw since in their initial meeting, neither fighter actually proved which was the better boxer.
With that kind of outcome, only an immediate rematch would set the stage for the fighters to once again face each other to determine a clear winner of their competition.

    Not really interested.

    Boring fight

Rather see Canelo beat Molina for another belt or move up

I picked Lara to school Canelo, but I have no problem with the decision that was rendered. The reality of the matter is that it was a very close fight and it really comes down to what style is preferred.

There's no question Lara had his moments with some clean landed blows and overall ring generalship to avoid Canelo's head attack.

On the other hand, Canelo was the aggressor, and was landing all kinds of heavy, thudding body shots.

So it comes down to: The fighter throwing fewer power punches but landing clean head shots when he does, versus the fighter throwing more power punches, and missing more often, but also landing plenty to the body.

I would have had no problem with Lara getting the decision either, but that's the way the judges scored it.

Ugly fight. I was mad at that whole card. Lara running, my boy Mares changing his whole style. May-Maidana is the last card I'll buy this year.

    Maybe.
    Maybe not.
Lara is versatile. Much more versatile than Canelo.
In rematches each fighter knows one another better and very likely have learned from their first encounter.
Only spectators assume that everything remains the same. :yep:yep

LOL. The fight was less about you and more about the boxing status of each fighter, and their futures.

    Thanks for the reply.

So, from their fight, which is the better fighter?

I don't want to see a rematch unless both guys keep winning later down the line. Lara knew he was in Canelo's "backyard" and he played it too safe.

Unless you have conducted a poll using large sampling, please don't use unqualified opinionated hyperbole like, Most.

Just because you don't want to see it is no reason why it shouldn't happen.
