Fighting Daniel Dawson on Aug 22nd. Good to see him back. Dawson seems to have a pretty padded record, but should be a good come back for him to get some confidence after his last couple of fights. He can still be a force in the LMW division.
Trout fought such a difficult stretch of opponents he could really use a breather. This fight should be an easy victory which is exactly what he needs
Well, its not PPV, so im guessing it doesnt really matter. The guy is a top fighter. Boxing fans should want to see him. Everyones high on Cotto now and Trout beat him up.
Not every fight can be a big fight. He wins this convincingly, his name will be right back in the game.
Put it this way. Remember the guy Trout pulled a Jones vs. Pazienza or Mayweather vs. Gatti on? Frank LoPorto? Yeah, well, LoPorto clearly beat his countryman Dawson. That's his proper level, domestic. He didn't even look to belong in the ring with Geale or Dzinziruk. This ought to be a shutout or stoppage for Trout, or else it bodes very poorly for his comeback.
