Thanks for your; "here are my favourite things" reply.

From your response, I'm guessing you picked Option 2.

I could name about 5-10 UFC fighters if I thought about it.

I'll watch the occasional MMA fight, but usually just start a debate about how boxing is better when someone says something dumb about "striking".

That being said, I have seen 3-4 MMA fights that were good and entertaining. Most of what I see is terrible.

    Good thread, OP.

It's a lot like Pac-Floyd. Some idiots HAVE to hate on the other. I am a fan of both.

Their chins aren't bad or any worse than any boxer, they are just fight with 4 oz gloves while boxers fight usually with 8-10 oz pillows.

I'd think that every boxing fan has watched at least a few UFC matches depending on who was fighting. Plenty of boxing fans were probably following Randy Couture (sp?), Evans and Anderson Silva due to their strike abilities.

You don't like boxing, you like fukkin ballet. MMA is awful. Bunch of dumb fukks who couldn't make it playing college football. Your agenda is sad. Don't matter how u say it bro...rigo is boring as ****. Sorry. Your as see thru as a window. Call yourself a "purist," but I bet you text and play candy crush during rigo fights hahaha. Liking fighters who actually fight doesn't make one a "casual" fan. I'm hardcore as a boxing fan gets...and I have no desire to watch rigo fight unless he's gonna be in there with a hard pressure fighter, like Leo. Otherwise it's just a dance off. Grow some balls. Are you afraid of blood sissy boy? I know you wanna place yourself above everyone but you just come off sounding like a wanna be elitist.

Oh really? Why don't you go try on a pair of 8oz Reyes gloves and then try to tell me that they have any more padding over the knuckle than a pair of 4oz MMA gloves? They don't. Yeah, the padding weighs 8ozs, but it covers everything from the wrist to the fingertips and even the thumb. That 4ozs of padding on an MMA glove only covers the back of the hand and the knuckles.

As they say, we get knoked down, but we get right back up.
One failed prediction is no thing to me. Especially when it is for two relative unknowns.
If Bob Arum allows Loma to accept Rigo's challenge, then I'll be making a 10x rebound.

I don't follow it avidly. I'll watch the odd show now again as I do find it entertaining. It will never replace boxing for me.
