interesting point and i'm sure after taking such a beating from angulo, lara decided he never wanted to go through that again especially after witnessing canelo beat the hell out of angulo, hence the run for his dear life game plan.
Yes I said it was a close fight that could have went either way. You are claiming it was a lose for Canelo and it was a clear loss. This thread makes it sound like you think it was a robbery yet many had it for Canelo/ draw.
Lara offensively was way better than Canelo . Canelo could barely find any headshots throughout the whole fight . Unlike Lara who was popping Canelos head , he truly had no difficulties connecting on him. Whenever he did go for the head , Lara made him miss or countered him .
Didn't you think a draw was fair until later on that day you claimed body shots no longer count and changed your card to a 9-3 to Lara?
As I clarified when I said draw, I thought neither fighter had consistent control throughout the fight. I thought Lara moved too much with not enough offence, and I thought Canelo failed to cut off the ring and had almost no offence. Since each fighter was earning at least $1M, I thought a draw would be fair to lead to a rematch where a clear winner could really be determined.
It's definitely close but a clear win for Alvarez in my opinion. I wouldn't compare it to fights like Algieri-Provodnikov.
You're right. Head shots simply close or bust up eyes where the opponent is blind, or they break noses and lips. :yep
