Just had a stay busy fight against a journeyman last week, doubt he took much damage. He's local, and known by most English boxing fans. Why not? He has nothing to lose at this point of his career and everything to gain from this one.

No TBA/late replacement is going to be offered £150k, would be cheaper to simply pull the fight wouldn't it? Although if £150k was offered then you'd like to think it is an easy 'yes' answer.

I agree... Fury just needs to stay active. thanks to Gaye and delicate boy pulling out of fights at the last minute Fury has only fought twice in the last 17-18 months.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but the fight is scheduled only a few days from now. You think it's easy to get a good opponent in there? As far as domestic fighters go, Lewison is pretty solid and he just fought last week. If they can't get Thompson is there I don't see he wouldn't get a call.

To say busy... Fury should remain active even if his fights are falling through. Plus, people already bought tickets to the event. At least they'll get to see Fury.

That's not in Frank's interest. He wants the next couple of fights to be big as they can those two (apparently) have to be on Boxnation.

I hear Hennessey isn't best pleased with Fury's imposed inactivity- he would have clearly liked to see him fight on his September bill.
