Lara ran there's no other way to put it

Rigo did the same thing but he used faints and quality movement versus donaire

Lara just did his best to stay out of range for 90% of the fight

so he dictated the range....why wasn't canelo able to cut the ring on him?

how is that lara's fault that canelo doesn't know how to cut a ring?

You do know that if someone runs like that the only way to cut them off is if your run at them not cut off the ring

i teach boxing. it's called cutting off the ring...and no, u don't have to run at them. u walk them down. it's a very simple technique that seems to be lost on these so called stars of today.

No because they looked to engage a lot more than Lara idiot , Robinson could fight on the inside, and Ali and Leonard weren't afraid to get close

Look julio de la cruz and you will see a Cuban fighter who's a master at running for 3 rounds and winning by throwing the occasional jab

You don't know **** about ****, even if you do walk a Cuban down they know how to faint off the ropes and then have the whole ring to run into again

It alright running when your hurt but when you use it as your tactic from the start of the fight you shouldn't start crying when you don't get the win

Get over it, this ain't about Canelo/Lara, we are talking in general.

My point was simple, a lot of people don't know how to distinguish boxing from running. They lump everything not connected with throwing punches as the "sweet science".

Lara started out using the ring and his movement as a tactic to beat Canelo, that quickly morphed into running out of a necessity to avoid his brutal body shots.

    Great post!

The subliminal programming from the networks is powerful stuff. Most viewers take it for granted and have no idea how their minds are being molded to conform to the commentator's point of view.
Viewers don't know or understand, but the networks know exactly what they are doing.
Today's business model is not how much is a product worth but rather, how much will the consumer pay.
No one in the viewer's audience wants to get in a street fight, get hit and hurt. On the contrary, that viewer is going to try every way possible to not let his/her opponent hit them. LOL. Even running.
So I don't get the contradiction asking professional boxers to do and take what you yourself wouldn't do/take. It's illogical, so it must be originating from somewhere else.
