GGG has light heavy weight power with ring savvy and an iron chin..so yeh I agree with Roy's assessment..

Honest to God, who the hell cares what RJJ has to say? I take the opinion of any guy on this forum over his. He's a great guy, I'm sure, but he's not very bright and even at that he just says things which to him sound analysty, he just plays an analyst on TV, he doesn't really think about the fights, he just says things that sound good to him.

I think RJJ is overrated as a commentator.

I think Paulie is far superior.

I remember the punch you are talking about. I don't think it stunned him but it definitely got his attention.

That however, was Stevens's money punch and Golovkin ate it without too much trouble.

    It's very close.

Kovalev's two top 5 quality wins are Campillo and Cleverly.

Golovkin's two top 5 quality wins are Geale and Macklin.

The rest is really filler material albeit I think Golovkin's filler is of a higher standard than Kovalev's filler.

Floyd is the most complete. When GGG fights someone who outweighs him 15lbs, brings the heat and is not fazed by his power and he beats that fighter then we can assess again.

Jones is a delusional Glass Jawed has been. He doesn't know anything about be a legit fighter the guy was scared to take risks and make big fights the fans wanted to see.

After watching the Curtis Stevens fight a few times I thnk he did better vs GGG than most. He is a good fighter and may end up with a belt.

    Ps

Roy Jones has forgotton more about boxing than you brain donors will ever know.

The only flaw i see in GGG is his stamina, from what i saw in his last 2 fights, he was pretty sluggish in the later rounds.

Time will tell as GGG fights better fighters. Geale is a very good fighter, so that fight will provide a good assessment of GGG. I think Geale takes a beating though.

In the last round against Stevens, he threw around 100 power punches that didn't seem to faze him. So what you saw was inaccurate to say the least.

Hilarious too see the idiots in this thread disrespect Roy Jones. I doubt any of you have even fought pro, let alone be a sure-fire hall of famer and fighter of the decade.

I don't agree with Roy,(at all) but you guys sure as hell don't know more about boxing than he does. I bet you guys think you'd give him a good go in a boxing ring too. Guy is old and shot but would still peel your cap back.

So, suppose there's an idiot out there, a complete lunkhead who happens to be a phenomenal athlete, and I'm not talking about Roy now, I'm talking about a hypothetical guy, so this complete imbecile who's a fantastic athlete and happens to have a talent for boxing, and I'm sure you'll agree that it is possible for a person to be thoroughly stupid and yet talented at boxing, so suppose such a guy has a great career and becomes an ATG, would you take such a guy's opinion seriously?

It IS possible, you agree, I'm sure, for a complete fool to become an ATG. There prolly are boxers you think are complete fools.

Back in the day, fans loved a KO artist. Nowadays, fans are more fickle than ever and they do everything possible to try and denigrate a guy like GGG. It's really quite a sad state of affairs.
