From what I read the Sauerland's aren't particularly none for their huge purses for away fighters?

 

It was an official eliminator for the IBF #1, IBF international title and European titlefight, wich means the purse % is fixed. So they couldn't lowball him.

In any case, you can't be even remotely sure that his purse now (as replacement) is more now as wat he got back then.

 

Both really tall guys who've been sparring much shorter guys in prep for each other, haha should be good Fury by body shot TKO 8th round

 

Much harder fight for Fury than the Chisora fight ,,,got a feeling Fury getting KOD.

 

How much did he get for the Pulev fight?

 

This is a good fight, I agree that it would be better than the fight it replaces, but only if Ustinov had proper notice. I think Fury probably wins this but should be a good scrap.

 

Bit of an odd choice since Tyson has been preparing for a small 6ft heavyewieght for a 12 week camp.

However, Peter did say Tyson peforms much better againts bigger guys

 

Will be a spectacle I suppose..

 

War Fury

 

Should be a good fight. Ustinov is a big strong and live opponent, with a good beard. He won't get KO'ed easily and the fight might last the distance. I can see plenty of trading. This will also be a good test for Fury leading up to a HW title bout. I wonder if Ustinov is good enough to beat Fury. We will soon tell...

 

If Ustinov wins, this will derail a lot of potential future super fights

 

Alexander Ustinov is a Klitschko fighter and there's no secret this is a WBO eliminator for Klitschko's title. A bit of a spying mission from the Klitschko Camp maybe?

It may not even be as much as Ustinov made against Tua, honestly.

Duco poured a lot into that event; it was basically last chance saloon for NZ heavyweight boxing (at least for a while, this generation anyway) and had Tua beaten Ustinov he was set to be gifted a Klitschko title shot.

The card in Manchester would've still been okay without Fury on it (letdown obviously, and loses its luster without the rematch as main event, but this kind of thing does happen) and having Fury take on pretty much anyone helps salvage a bit. I doubt FW threw his life savings at the search for a three-day replacement for Chisora.
