Golovkin said “I feel terrific, this is a big fight for me. Daniel Geale is a former world champion and a dangerous opponent. This is a big test for me. I’m very happy with the way my career has progressed. This morning I weighed 164, no problem with my weight. It’s very important to me to fight at Madison Square Garden, I’m very happy to be fighting in the big Arena this time. Right now my focus is on Daniel Geale, in the future of course I’d like to fight Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez. Cotto at Madison Square Garden would be perfect. Hopefully my next fight would be in October or November. I’m ready to put on a great show on July 26 for the fans in New York.”

Don't think Cotto will take that fight. The guy's a warrior, but he isn't stupid.

I was already surprised when he took on Maravilla and expected him to get KO'd. Only turned out Sergio isn't Sergio anymore.

Why would he take a knee?
Is GGG planning on using plaster or removing the padding from his gloves?

I noticed he's not calling out Ward!!!

GGG has improved yet he still has some fundamental flaws that a skilled fighter will exploit.

Roach is studying Saturday's fight very closely...should he come out victorious it's a strong possibility for a Cotto matchup in Dec.

Opie fight for Marketing purposes won't schedule till Cinco Mayo due to Arums greed over what the fans deserve !

Be careful what you wish for...!

I don't think Cotto will take it. It's almost a guaranteed loss and at this stage of his career, there's not much left to prove, if anything at all. Canelo won't take it at this time but I wouldn't doubt him taking it later.

Hats off to Cotto if his first fight @160 is against the best fighter in the division.
Golovkin is 100% healthy and dangerous, so this fight probably won't be made.

I am a big Cotto fan and know he will take on anyone...but this may be the first fight he ducks. He has nothing to prove and knows how tough it would be to fight a guy like GGG, at 160.

If Cotto took the fight, I would be stunned and impressed.

If that's his next two fights, he'll be a massive PPV star pretty soon. He'd win both fights too, I reckon.

Follow those two with fights against Froch, Chavez and culminate in Ward.

Cotto has the best résumé of anyone out right now, but I think he's fighting Tim and then canelo. No need to risk a battering against ggg.
