Why Don't You Guys Like Women's Boxing? (***ism In Boxing?)

I'm not gonna lie. I don't watch female boxing at all. Part because I just find it uninteresting, and part because its not as accessible.

 

Do you watch the wnba too?

 

***ism is that men can't compete in women's boxing. That I WOULD watch.

Same reason why i dont watch womens soccer or gold or Basketball.

The standard is lower so why watch it?

I dont watch really low level mens boxing either.

Women's boxing is not on TV anywhere. This isnt the UFC where a woman is the biggest draw.

I have been a boxing fan since the 1970s. I can watch two guys nearly kill each other in the ring. But for some reason I have a hard time watching even something like women's gymnastics, because I'm afraid one of them is going to land on her head and break her neck.

I've never found women punching each other interesting at all. If a women's boxing match is on, I turn the channel. When Christy Martin used to fight ton Don King PPVs, I'd record every fight but hers because I knew I'd never watch it again. And when I learned about what was happening behind the scenes, with her abusive husband, it didn't surprise me.

Boxing is a brutal sport. Women have to take pregnancy tests before bouts to make sure they aren't carrying children. Hard blows/trauma to the chest of a woman can cause breast cancer. They aren't built for it.

If they want to fight, that's their business. But I don't watch.

Ann Wolfe is mentally unstable. Based on the way she treats other human beings (men and women), I wouldn't be surprised if she was severely abused as a child. Severely.

 

If a boxer, regardless of gender, performs with skill and bravery, that deserves our respect as boxing. You don't have to watch it if you don't want to... but I don't think people should dismiss their efforts, either.
