GGG: My advice to Andre Ward is to stop mentioning my name.

He beat an undefeated Sillakh and an undefeated Erdei, 2 wins which eclipses any one of Adama's wins.

Are you still going to try to convince the world that Adama is close to Rodriguez in level?

Well you just posted Ward's figures. 1.3 down to 1.1. That's not a very good sign, considering it should go up if you're in such high demand. I'd argue that Dawson helped those figures since he was a name; but we saw what happened when a no name fought him-number's dropped. Golovkin has his go up every time. To beat out Ward in the same month by 300,000 viewers with another person with no name says a lot. Both Stevens and Rodriguez were both FNF/NBC level fighters. Golovkin's name out drew Ward's.

 

Now I know I've had a drink tonight but unless I'm reading these wrong Golovkins fight did the same as Wards for Rodriguez.

Also Golovkins fight against Stevens did more than Wards fight against another American champion in Dawson.

So again unless I'm misreading these the man from Kazakhstan is the better draw in the US than the actual US fighter in the fights you've provided.

 

1.1 million is a very good rating considering the fact that there was absolutely no undercard for the Ward/Rodriguez fight

While there WAS an undercard to boost numbers for the GGG fight.

Ward/Rodriguez was a 1 fight card, if you've forgotten already.

 

Maybe you've had a little too much.

If you consider everything (on average), Ward does slightly better numbers.

I still haven't found the Froch/Ward #'s yet but I read that it was at least 1-1.1 million when I came across it months back.

Therefore, when you calculate averages, the winner is clear. :happy

 

It must have been one hell of an undercard to make it the third highest selling non ppv fight of the year. He was only beat out by Cotto and Chavez.

We'll get our answer next week. What's your prediction for his current drawing power then?
