This is boxing, not ballet. Tyson is HUGE. That + stamina + good punch is enough to beat better boxers. Look at what he did to Steve Cuningham, he beat the **** out of him street style, just because of his size.

Ya fury basically said **** the boxing and kicked the shot out of Steve

Lucky it was a street fight Cunningham would have got an eye gouged out and lost all his teeth

Frankly, someone that doesn't see Pulev as a technically sound boxer should not be posting on boxing forums. When an internet forum user calls olympic gold medalists "journeymen", it speaks volumes.

Stop pretending to understand boxing scar. You signed up to root for a guy that almost beat another guy americans hated, which in itself is a wrong reason to be on a boxing forum, and shows you as a groupie that follows hype and can't tell skill unless it comes in a shiny wrapper.

Listing Solis as elite is worse.

Solis got beat up by old man Thompson!

Talent wise he would be a top 3 fighter at least in any era but he doesn't train

I wonder how many of you graduated high school. I clearly explained why Solis is elite, and WHY he is not competitive at top level at the moment.

A ferrari is still a ferrari even if you neglect to maintain it for 8 years. It just doesn't perform nearly as well.

Let it go dude this era is garbage. Outside of both Klitschkos, and maybe David haye, the rest are fat plodders with no technical skills. When clumsy and uncoordinated fighter like Tyson Fury, who can't throw a proper punch is considered a top 5 heavyweight and seen as potential heir apparent to heavyweight, you know that the era is garbage.

Tyson fury would beat all the roided up midgets America has produced over the years

Evander Holyfield would get his swollen steroid abusing face broke in by fury

There is a tradeoff, between size and technical ability. You can't expect Fury to do the things Ward can do, just like you can't expect Ward to be able to do things Lomachenko can do, etc.

And as I mentioned, Solis is one of the best pure boxers that ever lived. The fact that he let himself go is his problem alone. Pulev is very technically sound, Povetkin has superb technical skills and solid footwork, etc

Eddie Chambers has great boxing skills as well, just his size doesn't allow him to be truly competitive with the giants.

Just to drive my point home about size and technical ability: The best football players with the best ball control were SHORT. Being short gives you better center of balance and better coordination, hence guys like Mesi, Maradona, Pele, the legeds, all under 175 cm tall. Tyson Fury is VERY well coordinated for a guy his size, he is almost 7 feet tall FFS.

Based on the success Cunningham had early against Fury, I think it is far more likely that a prime Holyfield stops Fury before the midway point.
