This is the Bernard Hopkins that knocked out Glen Johnson against the Montell Griffin that defeated Roy Jones Jr. This is essentially a peak vs. peak fight.
I think Griffin would make this fight competitive for a few rounds or so. However, I do not think that Bernard Hopkins would get frustrated, like Roy did. I think Hopkins gets the stoppage in 7-10 rounds.
Hopkins by stoppage I don't know at Lt heavy I can see a UD ..But no stoppage . Never considered him that big of a puncher ..
Montell Griffin humiliated Roy Jones jr in his prime. Hopkins looked like a child compared to Roy Jones in their fight. I think the answer is obvious. Montell Griffin is an all time great!
Griffin embarrassed prime versions of Toney*2, Jones and Eric Harding. In the Jones rematch Griffin was rushed cold into the ring and hence was caught up cold in the ring. It was a scam by Murad Muhammad and HBO. Hopkins is an overrated cheater whom should have his rematch result against Jones changed to a loss via body punch KO. When Hopkins fought Tarver, Tarver was far more drained against Hopkins than Roy was drained vs Tarver, which is one of the biggest myths of recent times. Tarver had to come down from around 220 which he had to weigh for the Rocky Balboa filming.
