wasn't the handicap due to Manny not making the weight, ie. have a weight advantage?

Wlad got sparked out cold by a guy that exploited a weakness against left handers that throw a left cross counter. He caught Wlad ****y and unprepared, a best case scenario really.

plus he wasn't retired. He was 37, an advanced age for a boxer but not as much for a heavyweight. Wlad is still dominating now at 38.

yea, I said that too earlier. Haye is all wrong for Povetkin.

to quote myself "possibly Haye", but I do think that Haye could knock Povetkin out.

however, Haye nd Wlad are only 2 people in a division that have a solid edge over Povetkin. I think that's not bad at all.

Both Lara and Mayweather have a solid edge over Canelo, but he is viewed as elite no problem.

The 70's, the 80's and the 90's and maybe early 2000's

    Ali
    Norton
    Holmes
    Foreman
    Frazier

    Tyson
    Holmes
    Douglas
    Tucker
    Witherspoon

    Tyson
    Holyfield
    Bowe
    Lewis
and a whole list of other names just pick one.

The only era where he MAY possibly make it into the top 10, is the 2000's

There's more. Most Americans don't even know that New Mexico is, in fact, in America, and not in Mexico. Or believes that Rome is an American city.

Nice thread, well written and i particularly liked the humorous style. Always caught on surprise.

Agree with all the points, nothing particular really, it's all self evident stuff.

You must be talking about a differant Haye to us, because David Haye looked nothing special against old man Ruiz or Barrett (who had Haye down) and Chisora had him staggered. None of them are great tacticians or Big punchers.

Povetkin by highlight reel KO before the 6th as long as Haye turns up to fight and doesnt sprint for 12 rounds like he did against Valuev and Wlad

This is real life boxing its not a film. It is completely possible for a decent fighter to hit and hurt a slightly better fighter.

Fury would be too big for Frazier,Norton, maybe foreman too considering his style

Douglas, tucker and Witherspoon would get mauled to death by tyson , honestly Douglas ?

For the 90's you only got four names and fury would jab the face off peds cheat Holyfield, he was terrible against tall fighters and tyson would be a lot bigger than anyone else he faught and Bowes only good wins are evander ,fury is a bigger version of golata with heart he beats bowe too
