Both had plenty of heart at their peak & lacked it later.

Granted you could make a case stylistically for the worse fighter here.

If it was the Tua that fought Ike, would Mike, or anybody, be able to match that work rate? WOULD Tua be intimidated thus just look to land the big bomb as he did so often later?

But see my last post about absurd assumptions & irrational conclusions based upon biased evidence that some are prome to on BOTH sides.

This proves that from 1985-91 & 95-97 it was going to be Tyson. Tuas best chance is against a shot Tyson from 1999 onwards. Tua has never faced a combination puncher, a superb defence like Tyson. Plus I have noticed in all of Tuas fights, once he got hit he went on the back foot and got discouraged, he was one dimensional with his left hook and a head Hunter. Tyson at his best had his concepts right ie body shots and then upper cuts to the head. And Tyson has proven to take monstor punches, one punch no matter how strong will not do against him.

The points are heavily in favor of Tyson on this one. If anything I believe Tua could have benefited from the Catskill, cus d amto training methods.

Tua would be getting hit too hard, too fast, too often.

Tyson is one of the fastest starters in heavyweight history, yes he did slow down in later rounds (depending on the opponent), but rushing headlong into a rampaging Prime Tyson is just asking for trouble.

If Tua does somehow survive and make it into the second half of the fight, i dont think hes going to have it in him to turn the fight round. Tyson will be on him like a dog in heat

Tyson in his prime (or at least pre prison) showed he can fight for the full 12 rounds.

And this was against guys bigger and more skilled than Tua.

It will take more than an afro and a left hook to beat Mike Tyson

I think this is almost a mismatch to be honest.

I would have no doubts about making tyson the favourite.

Same here, people are underrating Tysons punch power and overrating Tuas chin.

Tyson sent Holyfield flying with the first punch he threw in their first fight.

Tyson Kod a lot of guys whod never been stopped before

You needed to back up to avoid the Tyson uppercut. Tua didn't back up.

Its a simple equation. Tyson by KO.

Tua had plenty of opportunities to improve. His weaknesses came to light in many matches before his really big fights. I suspect he didn't have great trainers plus I suspect his own work ethic too.

He could have benefited with Kevin Rooney in his corner or if cus found him early.

I think Tua was just a lazy c**t all along, he wouldnt have lasted long under Damatos regime

Hell even Tyson used to skip training and Rooney would have to go out and look for him

it is funny because some tyson fans think because they post 300 times his comment will be more truth.they can say what they want, tua is a stylistical hard match for tyson and it is a fact. tyson never faced an inside fighter as big as tua with his chin combined with his strength, weight and power and it is a fact, the rest is blablabla and picking tyson based on legacy or who was greater.. it is h2h. i like a peak 88 tyson by decision, it is would be far of the easy fight or the "missmatch" that some people are trying to say that it would be. tua would stop 95-97 tyson

Body punches would be the key to winning this fight. Both had great chins and could take it. Neither man was especially tested to the body though, and that's for me what this fight outcome hinges on.

Tua inside fighting sucked compared to Tyson, he was a pure head hunter. Tysons fundamentals were better, he went to the body before simultaneously going for the head. Tyson punches faster, throws more combinations and has equal power in both hands unlike one punch, left hook pony Tua. Even the Tyson of 95-97 gives Tua a hell of a fight but Tua probably wins after 99 onwards

That proves you talk rubbish, Tua worked the body well with his left hook. No way in hell does Tyson hit as hard as Tua.

Oh please I have seen tuas fights and he just throws one punch at the body and then goes head hunting. He backs away when the other fighter has a solid jab. Tysons work rate to the body was much better. Tuas extra power over Tyson is irrelevant if by the time he throws one punch Tyson has thrown 4-5 punches with devastating effect and Tyson has proven in his whole career that one punch is not enough to take him out.

The odds are in favor of Tyson every time barring the 1999 version onwards
