So far, he's lost every time he's stepped up. He lost to Vitali and Povetkin.

How many people HAVEN'T LOST to Vitali and Povetkin?

The point is that Charr would lose to everyone in the top 10 at HW.

Would? Like GGG would knock out Mayweather? Like Canelo Would knock out Cotto? like I would win a lottery if I was a ****stani convenience store owner?

What you have here is pure speculation. Fact is, Charr, despite being awful technically (his technique is despicable, the only good thing he has is that high block guard), has managed to accumulate 26 wins against very solid opposition. You said he failed when he stepped up, but the only man to prevail over Povetkin is ATG Klitschko, and the only 2 people to prevail over Vitali were ATG Lennox and elite Byrd.

yep, the reason this is speculation is because charr hasn't fought anyone in the top ten apart form those two douches who improbably gave him a shot.

peril's yardstick is the one that is non existent, yet hes trying to pretend yours doesn't exist! hes assuming charr is good based on a huge amount that HE HASNT DONE. LOL WTF.

37 year old retiree who never won anything (ie who went his whole career not achieving anything, IS CATEGORICALLY NOT 'VERY VERY TALENTED'. Notwithstanding that this was the absolute worst version of him.

You might want to try explaining WHY he was getting a title shot instead of pretending he was some legend.

but I see why you have pretend hes the opposite of his cv dictates. your house is built on lies.

    Who said he was?

    He certainly isn't elite.

There's quite a lot in between elite and bum.... and conditioning/drive is part of what makes someone elite. Potential doesn't make you elite.

There's a paper trail of the heavyweight division being at its all-time worst that stretches back to the 1930s. So when people write that the heavyweight division is at its all time worst I don't take it seriously. As if ten years from now the same people will declare it as something other than its all time worse.

You along w/joejr and others make good points.

The HW div is not weak, these past 10 or so years is the first time the comp has been at true world level. Of course there are sore losers :| b/c a certain group has lost their grip on the HW title, thus making it a "weak era" to those in deep denial.

The heavyweight division is not weak, it's just that the Klitschkos beat everyone they and has just about cleared out the division. Vladimir is now the top heavyweight in the world today................................

    Bingo

Wlad has made more money than any HW. He is one of the hardest punchers in history and has a much higher KO ratio than the current "boxing superstar". He has had some ugly fights (Povetkin) but so did every celebrated HW legend.

He just isn't liked in the US/UK because they have some ignorant stereotypes about boxers/boxing in general and when they see some guy who smiles and wears turtlenecks is champion they dismiss the division and go back to watching pitbulls eat each other's balls off.

Watch Haye vs. Fragomeni. Watch how Haye struggled for many rounds. Then realize that Povetkin's style is very similar to Fragomenis, he's just 10 times better at it.
