He's been saying his man focus is at 160 for at least a year now. In fact, I've seen him say it even earlier than that.

This video is from June 2013

Regarding the Chavez Jr. clash at 168, well Abel Sanchez has been saying that Chavez is his ''dream fight'' for Golovkin for a couple of years or so and it would obviously have been both a PPV fight and it was bound to be an exciting crowd pleasing one too due to the nature of both combatants aggressive fighting styles.

Andre Ward's changed his tune about moving up in weight after previously saying that was exactly what he was going to do. He says he's not a LHW when people mention Kovalev and Stevenson's names, but how long do you think it would take him to sign on the dotted line if Chavez said he wanted him at 175? He'd be all over that like the white on rice in a matter of seconds.

More likely it means that more people are interested in learning more about Ward than they are about GGG.

Or, it could mean that people are over 8 times more likely to recognize or know of Ward than Golovkin. :yep

What's really amazing about the Google search is Ward has basically been inactive for about a year.
Imagine how big the disparity would be if Ward had been active.

Thats just mentioned articles returned by the search.... in English. Over the course of his career Ward has been written about more in English than Golovkin.

Who is Andre Ward? I thought he war retired, or as Borat put it ******ed..................

Golovkin wants to fight Cotto, Mayweather, Quillin, Murray, Chavez, but Ward is not PPV worthy. Golovkin is a 160 lb. fighter like Hagler was. Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 168, yet Ward refused to answer him.........................get it? Stevenson said he would come down to 168, so where is Ward? Ward said that Kovalev is too big for him, yet he used to fight at 175.....................Ward is the only 168 lb. fighter left in that division, to go up 8 lbs. just to fight Ward in Ward's home town, with Ward's personal referee, judges, boxing commission, ring, gloves, etc., would be stupid. Ward is a cheater.....................Stevenson is calling out Ward, so where is Ward?

Ward has become but comic relief. He is no where near a ppv and GGG is a much bigger draw, even in Oakland LMAO

And why wouldnt HBO foot the bill for a fighter it has under contract against another fighter that it has rights on and put on a superfight???

So Ward-GGG is a big fight which the public would like to see...maybe even pay to see.

The gate/revenue stream for a fight like this is not comparable to Goosen offering Ward the likes of Caleb Trux or a washed up Kessler who he has already beaten.

Ward still has a promoter, much like GGG has.

They're both under contract with HBO.

    Wheres the issue here?
