Yeah I know.. sparrings sparring, but still finding this interesting. There's a thread on the general about this after a lot of rumours floating about. A good few sources including Spencer Fearon have reported that Groves dropped Golovkin. Apparently GGG has also admitted this in a press conference? Heard another rumour that GGG broke Groves ribs? Anyone have anymore info on how it went?
GGG is no defensive wizard, Groves is bigger than GGG and is a big puncher plus it is only sparring so it all seems plausible to me. I would still pick GGG to beat him in an actual boxing match though.
Agree + Groves will be heavier at the moment compared to when he put Froch on his arse. If Groves does have a cracked rib that's hardly great prep for Rebrasse. Still.. hats off to Groves he gets involved with the best for sparring. Dirrell, Froch, Kessler and GGG. Only way to improve is to work with top fighters.
I often have a pop at GG for being overrated with a big mouth (both true), but credit were credits due, he spars world class fighters. Remember when he used to spar Froch, Froch said what gives him edge over DeGale is he spars the likes of him knowing he will get beat up, but knowing it will progress him quicker (DeGale always turned Froch's offers of sparring down). Froch used to get battered of Howard Eastman in sparring but done him world of good
People should also remember GG was properly weighing 190-195ibs and GGG 160-165ibs at the time. Big difference
 everything I've read said this is bull**** about GGG being dropped, Only person to say otherwise is spencer ****ing fearon  I trust guys like Steve Kim and their access far more than spencer ****ing fearon
