You probably know this by now but the Ustinov-Fury weigh-in is at Manchester Conference centre on Sackville street and starts at 2pm, public will be let in from 1.30pm.
Love that those two are considered to be in good shape... I could almost say i'm in good shape if thats the case.
After seeing the weigh-in and Ustinov coming at the lowest weight of his career since his first pro fight and similar to his K1 fighting days i'm going to stick with my prediction of Ustinov winning by KO inside 4 rds.
A good gambler waits for the right hand before betting, now there's too many variables in this fight to bet big but with Ustinov being something like 8-1 he's certainly worth a punt that will either deliver big or fall completely flat. Even if Fury wins this fight, i'd be very surprised if he doesn't have a moment or two where he's on the verge of being stopped. This is the same man who has either been dropped or had some tricky moments against small or average Heavyweights like John McDermott, Nicolai Firtha, Nevin Pajkic, Joey Abell and Steve Cunningham. Fury's size and reach advantages are his big assets which are going to be nullified in this fight so it's not so much that i'm over-rating Ustinov who is no world beater but just that i've never been sold on Fury being this Heavyweight conquer some people make him out to be.
you make some good points and i agree, but fury never really has such a superior speed advantage. he will be hitting ustinov alot in this one, if he manages to get tagged through his leaky defence or switches off he is getting ko'd out. but ustinov just doesnt look a fighter who can get out gear 1 if hes getting outpunched.
Agree with your points too. Ustinov isn't particularly a dynamic Heavyweight or has one thing he's great at doing. He's a solid fighter who can be outboxed by a skilled Heavyweight like Pulev but as you mention Fury can lack discipline and get involved in brawls which against Ustinov would be a major mistake. Having already seen Fury fight Chisora previously, i'm definately more intrigued by Ustinov-Fury and look forward to what will hopefully be an entertaining Heavyweight fight.
I've watched that video twice now, and Fury's pathetic attempts to psyche himself up and intimidate Ustinov by throwing a Cat A stare at the side of Ustinov's head, then breaking eye contact with some feeble joke when Ustinov returns his gaze are just cringeworthy!! And, when Fury's "Act" failed to have the desired effect, and he realised that his opponent was actually his size and in shape, this "Fighting man" starts talking conspiracies and uses the illness of a relative to avoid having to actually earn a huge amount of money by fighting a genuine opponent who was his size and did not give two ****s about him!! Tyson Fury is a laughing stock... a taity, a doilum and a complete Shithouse!!
Ustinov was in good enough shape for Fury to **** himself and go crying to his Uncle Peter to save him from the nasty big man by begging him to pull him out of the fight!! Thus ensuring that Tyson, Uncle Peter, Eddie Chambers and the rest of "Team Fury" do not get paid!! Uncle Peter and Co must be embarrassed and angry as hell to be associated with this shithouse!!
