round 1: 10-9 roy. he threw some punches at the end of round so i'll give it to him. neither guy did much.

 

Round 1

Jones is jabbing the body as Fry shuffles to his left. Fry keeps his odd angular guard up, right elbow held out several inches from his body and glove pressed against his cheek, left arm crooked around his waist and thrusting straight out into Jones' diaphragm or dropping toward his cup with poke-jabs. Jones is swaying bodily from side to side to slip the jabs, unnecessarily as Fry is pushing them out pretty slowly with no real bad intentions from mid-range and not coming near him anyway. Jones is jumping in to score light body jabs and then slinking out. Fry watches Jones, imitating some of his side to side movements and bringing his gloves up in front of his face when Jones begins to leap in with 1-2s. Jones puts his left fist out, palm down, to whack down Fry's jab when he shows it.

rjj feinting, throwing fast punches with nothing on them, Fry doing the same, looks like a 12 rounder as expected

 

round 2: 10-9 jones, nothing much going on

 

Round 2

Jones is starting to mix in some left hooks downstairs leaning aside to get extra purchase on them while still moving his feet. Meaty body work by Jones, staying low and taking aggressive steps in on Fry to get shots off with upward leverage. Fry tries finding Jones' head with a jab while leaning back to dodge one himself, using an exaggerated rotation of his neck much akin to Jones'. A lot of wasted motion in the ring between them. Body jabs outside by Jones.
