How do you rate Geale's chin?

You need more than a good chin to hold up against GGG unfortunately....

Mundine had power at MW, Karmazin although essentially shot still had respectable MW power, Barker and Sturm aren't punchers but have some pop which is usually overlooked. That's about it for who he's faced which is enough to know it's solid but not enough to know if it will really hold up against a legitimate puncher we'll see in a few hours.

 

hes been down in 5 fights... Those guys probably weren't as hard of hitters as GGG or as good of technicians. Yes that's true and something most people don't know but it was early career when he was domestic level and i think still working a job. He hasn't been down since reaching world level over 7 years ago.

 

its a good chin! have not seen it been very tested but i dont watch alot of gaele .. id say its a solid 8 and a half... but even a 10 rated chin in margarito could not withstand good power from mosley ... and i expect golovkin to hit harder and geales chin to be a level below margs... that being said gaele has much better defense

 

That is true that fighters get MUCH better when they work with higher level trainers and devote 100% of their time to the game. I don't know if chin itself can be improved. Perhaps his defense, ability to roll with punches, and see punches has just improved (he hasn't fought any MASSIVE punchers since reaching world level though). We will await the results of Dr. Golovkin's chin biopsy before making the call for sure.

Geale has a better resume and Golovkin ain't fite nobody. That should be worth a couple of rounds, right?

because margo has no defense he kept eating power shots from mosley about 500 of them and 9 rounds before he started to buckle when you take duckweather for example he only got hit ONCE and he buckled no way duckweather would be crazy and let mosley tee of on him and take 500 shots for 9 rounds.........

if anything its shows what a chin margo has to take 500 shots for 9 rounds from mosley when duckweather only buckled from one.......

 

Not sure about his chin but he definitely lacks the power to keep Golovkin off, which is far worse.

 

Fights prob gonna end with a body punch... Chin won't play into it.

 

Fair call. This fight may well reveal a lot about both fighters.
