I have always been a Froch fan. The man has proved many times that he is willing to fight the best, in their home town, without any prompting or diva-esque demands.

But the sad fact is that not only is The Cobra well past prime, but his "style" is absolutely made for Golovkin!

A slow footed, come forward, face first, take two shots to give one, past prime warrior, who holds his left hand at waist level and who's fabled punch resistance is on the decline, is the sort of opponent Golovkin's camp must dream of!

I don't want Froch to fight Golvkin, but if he did, i'd be astonished if The Cobra wasn't stopped within six brutal rounds.

Old? He said it during the build up to the Groves fight!!

Froch wants NOTHING to do with GGG.

    Get over it.

Really? Even though he agreed with George regarding GGG being small at Super Middle?

Froch has been pretty clear on what he wants for a while - Chavez Jr in Las Vegas. I don't think turning down fights against any other hypothetical opponent can be considered a duck.

Same with GGG - he wants Cotto. I think GGG may step up to SMW at the end of his career after he has cleaned out MW (or securing the big fights i.e. Cotto proves impossible) for a couple of money fights. By this point Froch will have retired. This is just a fantasy fight, albeit an interesting one to think about.

Froch is about money. He's not ducking anyting. If GGG brought him proper $$$ then Froch would fight him.

hes not being sarcastic but he is being respectful and if the heat was turned up for a fight and it ment something to froch he might take it, he says what he means in this interview no shame hes probably thinking about finishing his carer with someone else

GGG can´t fight Froch the way he´s fought other opponents. It would be a new terretory for him - Froch is to big, tos trong and so dedicated and focused that I think he will win the fight quite easily.

I did not realise GGG had moved upto 168 and was seriously offering Froch a fight

Too many people on a wind up on here. Froch isn't afraid of anyone and he's proven it many times over. GGG is a good boxer but is yet to prove it on the big stage against top level fighters that Froch has faced.

If GGG brings the money to the table then Froch would run to fight him but the reality is, GGG hasn't got the profile or the backing to generate as much money as a Chavez Jr. Froch is on his way out and GGG is yet to establish himself. Just the wrong place and the wrong time.

But to say Froch is scared is frankly absurd.

Yea Macklin and Geale are a real yardstick of how GGG would do against Froch.
