Who wins the fight and how?

Canelo apparently comes into the ring on fight night at 170 lbs+. And I think GGG only weighs 165 or so on fight night.

Who takes this match-up? How does the fight play out?

  2. Canelo only looks good against fighters smaller than him. He's not skilled enough to fight guys the same size as him.

I'm telling you, Canelo is incredibly overrated.

    GGG will knock Canelo out.

Look at how comfortably Lara's 1-2 found a home.

Now replace the Lara 1-2 with the Golovkin right hand. (no, he may not have quite the fluid accuracy or quickness of Lara but he is hardly a caveman and is a lot more aggressive, so the right hand would land on the not-hard-to-find ginger)

    Buenas noches, buen chico.

The fight would take place at 160, Golovkin by TKO or KO...............

Competitive fight for about 5-6 rounds, then GGG would take over. Making Canelo exude more energy quicker than he's used to would wear him down and set him up for a 8th round KO via Liver shot.

Possible. However its no secret that Canelo struggles with the weight, he will likely move up soon.

They have already sparred. If the fight isn't going to happen, it's because the sparring showed something that worried the cash cow holders.

for one thing, i think we would find out a lot about GGG's chin. And how well he takes it to the body. canelo's aggression and combination power punching is something GGG has never seen. but then again, GGG's power and boxing skill is probably too much for canelo. i figure canelo starts fast, GGG feels his power...GGG regroups, outboxes canelo and drops him in the middle rounds. Canelo roughs him up and fights his way back into it and eventually stops GGG late.

I doubt Canelo punches harder than Stevens, or lands much clean. His footwork is terrible, even if can punch some he wont be at the right distance or angle to connect well.

Canelo is good but not great, I dont give him any change against Golovkin at 160. 154 is something of a question mark though.
