To confirm him as legit? He already is, IMO - But I'd like to hear your views...

For the record I feel GGG seems like the real deal but unfortunately due to the cold war and other boxing politics we as boxing fans are stuck with "what if"

    At 160
There is not alot of guys here for him to work with I'm not sure if Miguel Cotto does it for die hard boxing fans because if he wins all you gonna hear is Cotto was a midget, Cotto beat a one legged Sergio etc then we will be asking this question yet again also nobody wants to see Sam Soliman sorry only reason I can see them taking the fight is to get him on PPV early

I do feel one guy that helps is Peter Quillin from a resume standpoint he is really no better than but he is fresh with little milage, has a undefeated record talent and the fact that he is in his prime makes this interesting its also for unification the fight reminds me of Alvarez fighting Trout in a sense that we were asking the same questions about GGG as Alvarez, Alvarez needed that Trout fight same way GGG may need to fight Quillin The problem is such a fight will be difficult to happen because of the whole politics involved since Quillin is a Showtime fighter and is advised by Haymon which brings me to my next point and people will grow tired of this Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is cool and I suppose you can make it a PPV fight due to excitment and following but I just feel people will pick that win apart by saying he is overrated he is drained at 160 etc

I just feel GGG needs to move to 168 asap
It makes no sense for GGG at the age of 32 to fight for a unification if GGG was 23 I can see but time is not on his side here is where it gets interesting he can fight seasoned & established fighters such as Carl Froch & Mikkel Kessler these are seasoned fighters that bring good-great fanbases in there respected countries are former/current champions and just bring overall exciting fights to the general public both are near 50-50 or 60-40 fights too. The guy that would end all questions in one fight is Andre Ward he is arguably the #2 p4p fighter in the world, that nobody has come close to beating really a win against him would make him a superstar over night especially if done in devastating fashion

So in short guys like Kessler, Ward Froch and a lesser extent Quillin & Chavez Jr. I think shuts critics up

Also I think these guys look good on the resume and are better or have more interesting outcomes than who he has been fighting lately

Sakio Bika Tough solid gate keeper who has been in there with Ward & Calzaghe
Andre Dirrell - Say what you want about dude but he argubaly beat Froch in U.K and outboxed Abraham when he was undefeated he has a difficult style to look good against also the two know each other from the amatuers and have a win a piece from what I understand
Arthur Abraham - Heavy hitter with textbook defense been in there with some of the best
    George Groves - Solid Opposition

    There's no one there.

Cotto might help, but he's a small man.

    Golovkin needs to move up.

The problem with this is Bika, Dirrells, Abraham are unmake-able fights due to business climate. Not sure Sauerland wants Groves in with GGG until he has a couple more fights either.

Abraham is in Sturm mode, and what makes anyone think a Haymon/SHO fighter fight can be made?

People suffering a bit from "grass is greener" outlook I think.

He's already there. All he can do is keep fighting top 5 guys and unifying until Cotto gives him a shot.

    at 160,

    Canelo (if he moves up),
    Martin Murray (is acceptable)
I think Cotto would be harder than people think. Golovkin is not good on the inside, he is like Tszyu needs distance to generate power, if he is smothered he would have problems.
Chris Eubank Jr - I know sounds crazy but i predict he will become a player in 1 year
    Quillin- No brainer

    168

Froch - the dream match for me, I take Froch to win
Ward- All wrong for Golovkin, will make a shitty fight also as Ward stinks the place out with his american spoiler style.
    - Bika-
    Dirrell
Kessler- Again I think this is a 50/50 at this stage with kessler past it
Anthony Dirrell- dangerous fight for both

Cotto, Canelo, Quillin, Froch, Kessler and Chavez Jr, all are solid fights for Golovkin.

So a Middleweight has to fight at Super Middleweight and Junior Middleweight to prove he's legit?. Do this forum a favor and drown yourself.

People who argue he's not legit DKSAB.

All these people listing guys like Quillin and Cotto need to ask themselves 'are these guys willing to fight Golovkin'.

If he really wants to put himself on the "casual fan" map, he'll need to convince Cotto or Canelo to fight him...somehow. If that isn't possible, he'll need to make the Chavez Jr. fight happen.

At 160, the belt holders who refuse to fight him, although Soliman looks DTF.

Contenders, Murray wouldn't hurt, Martinez would not either if he wins against a top fighter, Canelo if he moves up, but I would say there are not many contenders out there.
