A comeback to what? As much as i appreciate how powerful & entertaining he WAS as a fighter 4 years ago. Today he is a joke. The dude rips on other boxers, is always "injured" or making excuses. I dont believe he ducked Fury, i believe he woke up one morning and thought "jesus christ, what have i become...im fighting bum's like this guy" and decided to retire.
Excelent. Haye is an elite-level heavyweight skill wise. If he fights rather than talks, he will make hw interesting. If he is coming back for a once-a-year fighting schedule then **** him, let him stay retired.
It is amazing how most people on here are bashing Haye. Most of you complain about the quality of the HW division but do not appreciate a top tier HW returning. Haye would most likely beat Wilder, Stiverne, Fury, Chagaev, Jennings, Adamek. Haye would have a good chance of beating Pulev and Povetkin. 10% chance of beating Wlad. I will bump this thread when Haye destroys a few of the top 10.
Haye has 'destroyed' NO top 10 HW's. Fact. He COULD have fought Arrello, Adamek, Chambers and beat them and had a decent resume at HW. Instead he has beat Harrison, Ruiz and lost to Wlad. If you really think that Haye will have more then one fight before facing Wlad or the WBC champ you are out of your mind.
Who got handled by Oldiefield? Oh, that guy... Listen, I was a fan of Haye, but man is that guy all hot air. He really has wasted the last 6+ years of his career.
He could and should have achieved a lot more. I still think he has enough in him to beat most of the current top 10, possibly all of them except Wlad.
