I'm sure if he felt he had a point to prove he would be up for it. At this stage he's accomplished so much, I can see why he would rather have a less challenge few pay days and retire.

Didnt froch say those comments on the froch groves 2 build up? I'm sure he said it on that Facebook q and a thing that they did?

If that's the case then it's been took completely out of context because froch was actually being Sarcastic when he said it when asked about fighting ggg. Groves then chipped in that he's not sure if golovkin will be big enough for the supermiddle weight division stating that he is already quite a short middleweight, froch then agreed with groves.

Yeah he said it on the FB Q&A with Groves and it has been taken out of context.

Its best fight out there, you could make a case for both. GGG has never went 12 rounds, so if Froch was still there late on, with his engine and power it would be interesting. It would be an all time great classic. Golovkin is p4p number 1 in my eyes

Froch was just being very candid, surprisingly candid for a boxer.

Anyone with an ounce of nous knows that it isn't a fight Froch would want, or needs; the man is nearing his retirement.

I thought that was disrespectful of HBO to use that quote and paint Carl in a negative way. I remember watching the interview and he was being respectful of Golovkin, and humorous at the same time.

My guess is HBO is trying to goad Froch into taking the fight (in addition to pooring gas onto the attention Golovkin is currently recieving). Given what Froch made against Groves, his standards will be pretty high for a payday with Golovkin as they will be for Cotto, Chavez, Alvarez, Ward, and Quillin. Even Kessler inisted he be paid $4mill to come to the US and fight Golovkin. All ppv required fights, which I don't see happening for another 2 fights for GGG.

Here's the Ringside Q&A video where Froch makes the comment on Golovkin. Go to 9.40

Make your own mind up if Froch was being sarcastic.

Was he in the middle of a mind game with Groves when he said it?

The reason HBO quoted him was because he said it.

Ask yourself why is Carl chasing a fight with Chavez Jr rather than Golovkin?

I think we all know the answer.

Both are PPV fights and the Golovkin fight is bigger than Chavez Jr in this country.

I know you are not a Froch fan Solaris, but you always seem to be talking money, so hand on heart be honest with yourself Chavez Jr brings much more money to the table than Golovkin. Are you really trying to say that Froch honestly would duck Golovkin? You can ague that his swerving a rematch with Ward because he knows that Wards style is just a nightmare but GGG is made for Froch... GGGs has been in with Geale,Adama,Stevens,Macklin while Froch has been in with Ward, Kessler, Groves, Bute whos honestly going to duck who?

Froch would easily fill a stadium in the UK. Given that, plus PPV money etc is Chavez Jr in Las Vegas necessarily a much bigger earner than Froch v Golovkin in the UK?

I don't think he is ducking GGG, but he wants no part of him either.
