To me, Teofilo Stenvenson, elegance combined with lethality that he really had, plenty of knockouts for an amateur.

Mario Kindelan for all his talents and skills definitely stands out for me. He would reset on a dime, I've never seen a fighter that resets that quickly, he would be throwing a combo, step to the side proceed with another one. He never admired his work or got lazy with it.

Ray Leonard, Howard Davis Jr. and Mark Breyland, I though Riddick Bowe was going to be great when I saw him win the NY gloves at light heavyweight

Breland, Roy Jones, SRL and ODLH all very impressive. As was Ariel Hernandez.
Of the higher weights, I liked Roberto Balado. Very nice lateral movement, fast hands and nice angles. Pity he died right at his peak

    Current favourite amateurs by division

49kg- paddy Barnes- would make a great pro constant pressure

52kg- misha aloyan- toss up between him and selby but I think aloyan has more about him

56kg- robiesy Ramirez -easy choice and one of the most talented young boxers Iv ever seen. Should have won the val barker IMO

60kg- David Oliver Joyce - again constant pressure android make a great pro. Joyce-frampton at the national finals was one of the best amatuer fights ever

64kg- yasniel Toledo -great Cuban amatuer would make a great pro

69kg- roniel sotologo Iglesias - if he turned pro he would be challenging for a title at welterweight within 2 years

75kg- Anthony fowler- a great puncher and will be a great pro

81kg-joe ward- great attacking style an one of the most accomplished amateurs ever for his age. Would be an incredible pro

91kg-erislandy savon- the man who schooled Anthony Joshua , only a cruiser wight is a different class of figher

91kg+- magomed medzhidov- devastating puncher should go pro
