BJ has a good mind for boxing without having that good mind for boxing there is no way he could have made it to the level he is at without experience. He's made a lot out of a very little. His lack of experience does show at times. He has to still think a lot about what he's doing but he has managed to win so far.

 

His fight with Perez was appalling. If that wasn't on the undercard of a fight I was looking forward to I wouldn't even have bothered. I have always been a fan that tunes in to all fights but the Heavyweight division is an absolute joke.

Suppose if you go by fighters who came from other combat sports, many have won titles coming from Muay Thai back round in a short amount of boxing bouts.

 

He actually has quite decent boxing fundamentals for such a novice, it is just that he is so ordinary in pretty much every aspect, can't see him ever building a fanbase. The best he can hope for is to get a world title shot and make some good money to secure his family's future.

He is only 30 in the HW division where they tend to last a bit longer. I agree with you that he has the opportunity to make some decent money and either stop working or continue to work at the Federal Bank of Philadelphia.

There is really nothing to not like about Jennings. He is a hardworking fighter that works a 9-5 and trains to be the best he can be. The guy is working to continue to become a better fighter.

I think if they fight again, Jennings would even win by a larger margin as Perez is who he is at this stage and Jennings is still on the upward curve.
