What I am simply saying is a fight against ward, Golovkin or froch is likely to be kessler's last decent pay-day he is not stupid and knows this . ward is just to good for Kessler and would probably win 10 rounds of the 12 at least so would not be a good fight to go out on . Golovkin I explained in my previous post as I did froch . I think he should pick froch as it is the fight that may well be the most competitive and although will be tough I think Golovkin could actually hurt him more long term . The reward for me of beating froch over Golovkin is irrelevant . It's getting a chance at one last shot at the big time and being able to be competitive

    Golovkin v Ward
    Kessler v Degale
    Groves v Abraham
    Froch v Chavez Jnr
    Cotto v Canelo

All well matched fights at 160/168.

I would hate to see Kessler back in the ring - no matter who the opponent might be! He was once a very, very good boxer, but that was many years ago.

Like Froch, I don't believe Kessler really wants to fight Ward.

I'd have to agree really , Kessler would be better advised to stay out of the ring in all honesty

i couldn't guage saint's popularity right now, but a fight against kessler on a froch degale (or even ward if he's an option by then) undercard next summer could fill a decent-sized stadium in england, especially the city ground.

Kessler/Golovkin would be awesome, but only at 168.

I know in May, Mikkel said he would be open to facing Golovkin at a catch weight, but given his age and recent performances I wouldn't want him having any further disadvantages. (160 was in reference to Cotto, Mayweather, Alvarez)

In addition I think Golovkin's team would prefer it at 168 both as a built-in excuse if the fight turns out bad on their side, but also if they win it amplifies the bragging rights and reduces ammunition for the critics that Kessler was weakend.

Unfortunately it'll take a ton of money to get Kessler to come to the US (about $4mill it sounds). Be a good fight for Golovkin to take in LA, San Antonio, or Vegas though.

I would love to see Ward go to Denmark and fight Kessler.

I like Ward, but he makes prime Jones look like a world traveler.

But I can also see Ward's reason as to why there is no way he would do that.

I'd like to finally see Kessler beating Abraham, then he can retire with a world title. :)

If Froch picks Degale, t'would leave Chavez Jr without a dance partner. Just saying.

Kessler would mop the floor with Chavez, Jr. and James DeGale, I think he should take on Chavez because it's a more high profile fight on the world scale. laying a beatdown, or even knocking out Jr would be a good career choice

It would probably fetch a higher price tag, but among serious boxing folk a win over DeGale would be respected more.

I know he is looking to cash out here but Kessler is someone that lives up to his Warrior moniker and not the sort to look for the lightest touch.

If faced with a choice between Chavez Jr. for a decent purse (still less than what he is hoping for with Froch III, Ward II or Golovkin) or DeGale for a bit less but more respect, it would be interesting to see what he opted for.
