Listen to the crowd’s reaction when the result was announced, or listen to their reaction when Sammy stands up on the ropes and acknowledges them.

Besides, my point was… (If you’re interested in actually listening to what other people have to say?) that he’s always had the workrate, defensive skills and toughness and that these were on display as he spent 12 rounds frustrating a great boxer named Winky Wright. I never said he won. But, he did frustrate a legend, stuck with him and finished the fight by winning the last couple of rounds.

Sam has the belt around his waist that Hagler, Sugar Ray, Toney, Jones Jnr, and Hopkins once did. Duran, Tommy, Tito, Oscar all tried to get it and failed. Here's a bloke who after getting well beaten by Howard Eastman, didn't feel sorry for himself and quit. He saw it as an opportunity to improve, keep working and not give in. Howard Eastman never won the belt coincidently. Trolls on here remarking he's gutless etc. if he doesn't face GGG? HBO Are pulling the strings here, not Sammy or indeed GGG. Posters like you TC know this better than most. You've been around this sport most of your life. GGG only mentioned "Miguel" and "Quinlan" in his post fight interview, not Soliman. It's like he's been 'worded up'. HBO would not vito any other fight at 160. That's not Sam's fault and he isn't a coward or ducking GGG because of it. I'm not a soliman nut hugger, I just respect any fighter let alone a world champion. You've mentioned getting under people's skin TC, but having the knowledge you do, I reckon you agree with points in this post. Francis and Prowler have corks in the end of their forks, wear adult nappies and answer to "Rupret....", so I won't even bother going any further with them.

 

Quinlan? I assume you mean Peter Quillin. Golovkin did mention Soliman after the fight you idiot.

 

By the sounds of things GGG is still building a name in the US so a mega fight next probably isn't ideal. The Geale fight drew small numbers ... lowest for the year on HBO. Plus all the big names are avoiding him anyways.

So a fight with Solly right now makes sense at this stage of GGGs career as he can potentially pick up another title, gain somre more exposure in the states in the process and use the 2 belts as a carrot to land the big fight with the Cotto's of the division.

 

Finally a post that makes absolute sense , Chillin nailed it perfectly . Blokes on here who know the game inside out , yeah you TC and you do[ Prowler and Francis - nobody cares what they post] get carried away a couple of times a year with their egos and just start hating for some reason. Soliman had quiet a bit of money from that fight and to clear his name with some legitimacy would be worth the price, he spent a tone of money on a team of lawyers for a civil suit in Germany that we haven't heard a peep about yet wont spend the money to have it tested in a WADA approved LAB as they stated was their wish? :huh

NADA/WADA did the testing. Solimans team had a meeting with NADA officials as to what each fighter would be tested for. Furthermore, Stimulants is listed as a banned substance on the IBF banned substance list. The IBF were not in control of the testing, NADA/WADA was and Solimans camp knew this, they demanded such stringent testing be done and wanted a list of what Sturm would be tested for, if they knew what the IBF list was then why ask for one? You see, Solimans camp demanded the list be expanded, they demanded NADA/WADA testing. Its why they met with NADA officials the day they arrived in Germany for the fight.

As you see, Amphetamines was an agreed substance both fighters would be tested for as stated by Stanley.

Methylsynephrine (oxilofrine) is an Amphetamine. :shock:

There is no "potential" enhancing effect of Methylsynephrine btw, its a fact that it enhances performance, world-class Jamaican sprinters who were busted using it, as well as famous American sprinter Tyson Gay. Jamaica’s Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson. Powell held the 100-meter world record from 2005-08 with a time of 9.74 seconds. Powell’s female Jamaican teammate, Simpson, won a 4x100m gold medal at the 2004 Olympics along with 100-meter and 4x100m silver medals at the 2012 Olympics. As for Gay, his 100-meter time of 9.69 seconds is the second fastest in history.

Gay, Powell and Simpson all tested positive for an Amphetamine called Methylsynephrine (oxilofrine) :nono

And you know why we didn't hear anymore from the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) on this? Its because Methylsynephrine is also a substance on their list of prohibited substances, just search their database for it and you will see.

My point is, Soliman tried to play everyone like fools and tried to confuse everyone into believing he was clean. First they claim oh it wasn't on purpose, then they claim Oh it was on the IBF list (which ive shown it was on the agreed list of substances), then they say give us the B sample we wanna test it in a WADA approved lab in AUS, which they dont do, then they claim he never tested positive, never mind they already admitted he took a banned substance. He is no better than Danny Green telling you all you have a soft part of the skull, infact he is worse, much much worse.

Just to clear something up. GGG did infact mention Soliman in his post fight interview. Cotto, Quillin, Sam Soliman were mention in that order.

GGGs promoter has stated he is going to go out and try to make the Soliman fight happen. Its a title unification bout so i don't see why HBO wouldn't want it, its a bigger fight than the one against Geale & HBO didn't have any problem with that.

Spot on here. I think the key for Golovkin is get in there quickly with Soliman, bash him, take his title and continue to build his profile in the states to force a fight with Cotto. I still told that Soliman will fight Taylor next though.

 

I think its Taylor also. Sam wont fight GGG. He is just using the guys name to boost his profile. Its like saying Mundine will fight Floyd one day, it just wont happen. He has gone back on his word and thats a clear indication to me that he has no intentions of jumping in the same ring as GGG.
