The fundamental stance of your argument is flawed by simple reference to the difference between amateur and Pro boxing.
No, Mike didnt win a gold medal.
Tyrell Biggs was more experienced than 18 y.o Mike in 1984 and he was selected at super HW and won gold.
A weight drained Tyson lost a box off with Tillman for the HW slot.(Tyson had to lose weight to make the bout)
Tyson was far more suited to the pro's in any case,as history proved.
The Cuban was a great Amateur, but regardless of potential, that's what he was.
There is not a shred of evidence to suggest he could have coped with a peak Tyson (over any amount of rounds) any better than all the seasoned pro's that tried.
Tyrell Biggs fought Stevenson twice ,the second time many thought he should have got the decision,he says that at Tysons peak nobody could touch him mainly due to his speed.
I guess that includes Stevenson.
Whilst it's not impossible that the Cuban could have won,i would have thought it highly unlikely based on all known evidence.
Tyson would have stopped him quickly IMO.

In Stevensons early days they didn't use headguards, the fights were the same as pro bouts but with less rounds. Tyson was not exactly a strong 12 round fighter, he was a 6 round knockout artist. If he couldn't get them out early he usually laboured to a points decision.

Regarding your hero Biggs, what actually happened in the first fight when they fought like pro's without using head guards?
