THIS IS NOT TO DISCREDIT PACQUIAO, JUST THE PEOPLE IN DENIAL. Pacquiao does indeed cherry pick, as does Floyd and every other boxer at the top.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpL6n0F3bX4

    @ 2:40
"I had to apologize to Schaefer, I went a little crazy at the rules meeting on the hand wrap rules. I was just getting an edge if I could and taking away something that they wanted."

@ 5:00 on Oscar being old
"I just think it's time for him to hang it up, father time is something we just can't get away from."

    @ 5:45 on fighting Floyd
"I want to fight at a catchweight, don't want to fight 147." He clarifies shortly after "below 147".

    @ 6:30 on Floyd
"Floyd's a talented guy, if we can take something away from him, we will"

@ 6:50 on Margarito and Oscar
"I thought about it, I don't think so. A lot depends on how he looks when he fights Shane, of course. Realistically though he's a big 47 pounder in his prime right now. I don't think that's a good fight for us at this point. I thought Oscar was because of his age and his last couple of performances weren't that great."

There you have it, Pacquiao indeed cherry picks as well. Case closed, straight from Roach's mouth, old video. And he's not trying to discredit Ariza either...

    @ 18:20 on Floyd again
"I don't want to call him out because his price will go up."
"Negotiations will be tough because he wants all the money."

I completely agree with this statement, which is why guys like Floyd, Garcia, Ward, and others refuse to call people out. If you show interest in fighting someone, they will low ball you or request a high purse. And no doubt Floyd is greedy with money.

Cherry picking by my definition is choosing the right opponent at the right time. Whether it be because they just lost, got exposed, took time off, suffered injuries, ANY reason they are at a low point. Exploiting their vulnerable moments. Pacquiao has cherry picked Oscar, Cotto, Margarito, maybe Hatton, Rios, Mosley. His good fights, when the fighters are at a high point in their careers, are Bradley, Algieri, and Marquez. This is just off the top of my head. I'm only speaking on post-2007 at the moment.

Difference is roach does it for him. Floyd picks his cherry for himself. You can say Pac is naive but he would fight anyone Arum or Roach puts in front of him. Floyd would decline an opponent for himself. He would even decline the equipments , gloves himself .

It doesn't matter who does it, fact is that it's done. Pacquiao listens to his team, Floyd listens to his. It's the same ****. The only reason Floyd catches flak for it and Pac doesn't is because he speaks for himself. If Floyd didn't say anything nobody else would.

Good post, I already knew that Roach was a cherry picker. The only blame that Pac gets is that he keeps his mouth shut so much

This is why Floyd gets so much hate.

He gets promoters blame, trainer's blame, and fighter's blame all at the same time.

Case in Point - Arum most likely making Cotto vs Bradley
160 pound fighter vs 147 pound fighter
call it what you want, but no one gives a sh.it about that fight, they want cotto fighting another middleweight, not welterweight
