What do you think will happen to TR once Arum is gone?

If Arum leaves then HOF'r Bruce Trampler is sure to go and if that happens then TR wont be the same. If you google Bruce Trampler's name you will see he was the guy behind all the biggest names in boxing today, Oscar, Floyd, Cotto and many others. Bob is the driving force Bruce takes care of the talent. He made every single fighter from scratch, that has been with TR since the '80's. There is nobody @ TR who can take over once Bob and Bruce leave.

^^ I meant like when Bob dies, do you think Todd will be able to lead Top Rank?

IDK cos being one of the smartest people in boxing he is not "Bob" smart. I believe if he is going to have a chance at any real success he needs to be Bob smart. When Bob started he was smart enough to get the best guy in the business at the time, Teddy Brenner (google his name), Teddy brought Bruce. Top Rank's present matchmaker is like Todd, they are smart but not Bruce and Bob smart.
I believe the team of Bob and Bruce make Top Rank, Top Rank. When they both leave I believe they will take the heart of TR with them.

I've heard the same. It's kinda like Meyer Lansky who figured out that the best way to run a business was if it was fair.

I'm just curious why someone people insist Arum is stealing from fighters like Pacquiao and why he seems to have tax problems.

Nice font btw really easy on the eyes. :good

Frankie Gavin from here in the UK suffered his first career loss a talented boxer but imo a 140lb fighter not 147lb.A SD loss to the unbeaten Bundu last night EBU title that could of opened up bigger fights for him.He lost by a point on 2 cards a KD mid rounds the difference. He is 28 stop start career injuries etc.His promoter for me two choices pay through the nose for a rematch as Bundu holds the title and ranking power or another route.Big decisions ahead for his management team, talented fighter but a career that has been stop start.Gavin not a heavy handed fighter anyway a career that even after his first defeat that the next move will be crucial.

Anyone see ESPN Williams Jr-Campillo?The first time I had seen Williams Jr as he was getting a bit of interest in him being unbeaten of course, but had it all his own way in fights. The more you find out about a fighter is in adversity imo.Not getting beat, but how they handle adversity.Bad patches in fights, bad rounds, opponent style etc.

W.Jr after being cut totally looked a changed fighter after bossing the early rounds.Campillo the veteran had been bought in as a 'name' on W.Jr's record because he has fought some of the top 175lb guys around sensed it,just started to up his output.Got the upset win Campillo, experienced was getting out boxed but staying in there.Could W.Jr of gone on?His own corner called the doctors over.He can come again, and his eye may well of been injured badly enough to force him to retire. He was winning by three rounds on two cards.

Brandon Rios $925k v Diego Chaves $25k last nights main event purses. No error on Chaves $25k purse, cue online uproar.
Vargas $125k v Novikov $105k for the main undercard fight.

Now why would Chaves team sign for just $25k?Here is the deal the bulk of his end is coming from Argentinian TV (his actual total purse being around $100-125k) on what I can gather. It will be paid to him in Argentina but it seems in Benjamin Franklin's.Why would they want to do that folks?Tax reasons,i'm no expert in this field but especially if the TV monies are on guarantee.

If this deal has been done correctly the trick is his team have avoided the high end US taxes. Not such a bad deal as painted then........if done right!

Mr. Dempsey, what's the right mentality for an amateur boxing wanting to go pro?

Like, what do i need to keep in mind in order to have a succesful start for a professional career?
